I'm planning to protect my room equipment..
1 computer
1 monitor

Other extra stuff might be handphone charger or laptop
I might use UPS later on...
Every equipment just connected within the room

So which model should i get?

seem dont have telephone cable or network cable involved in...
u can use MDSC0039 to protect all the power source... but all equipments power source must draw from the same cal-lab unit only in order to build up the protection boundary...
*
so it will be like this? :
wall socket -> MDSC0039 -> power strip -> my equipments

btw, PM me best price for 1 unit of MDSC0039 + postage to JB

tq..

Hi, this is my ADSL setup : http://i.imgur.com/koxMgmH.jpg

It's a simplified version of various stuff at my living room, but don't worry I understand the concept of "safe island".

I want to protect my ADSL modem from lightning strike. So the green background is the area that I believe I need to protect.

So can you suggest to me which product should I get?

you can use MDSC0039 + SP9201DAF  smile.gif
*
SP9201DAF will replace my current DSL splitter?
And the green wire will be connected into that small hole at the side of MDSC0039?
Hmm, I think I still have extra MDSC0039 that I've purchased from you 4 years ago~~

So let say the lightning struck from my phone line, I believe MDSC0039 need to be replaced. But how about SP9201DAF ?

Yes, SP9201DAF will replace the existing DSL splitter...
green wire to the small hole of MDSC0039

the lightning strucked from tel cable, 90% only SP9201DAF will effected / damaged... MDSC0039 just doing the surge rerouting to earth only... smile.gif

Oh, so no need to replace MDSC0039.
Okay the, please PM me best price for 2x SP9201DAF + 1x MDSC0039 + postage to JB.

Hi boss...

Today in JB we're having a very bad weather and I think there's a lightning surge.

My dad said he heard a "pop" sound around the area where I put the Callab splitter. From the outside, there's no damage on the SP9201DAF, but no tone on phone and no DSL signal for internet. I switched to my spare SP9201DAF and now everything back to normal.

So I think my old SP9201DAF now dead after protecting my modem and other stuff from lightning surge. thumbup.gif

So now, how to request for replacement?
