nope, Im using 3g modem pluged in the router, router connect LAN to 1 CPU only
*

if u using 3G wireless router for ur PC only...
no tel cable involved in your PC setup and don't have other PCs connected to ur router via wired lan cable...

you can protect ur PC for power source by using MDSC0039, SLMS4 (multi socket version) or Twin Power Pack (multi socket version)

Bro, can you pls qoute price :
1) 1 unit SL-MS2+3
2) 1 unit MDSC0039

I got 1 question, what is the different in term of protection between these 2 setup :
a) MDSC0039 + normal multiple socket
b) SL-MS2+3

Which one is recommended ?

Tq
*

SLMS2+3 no longer in production, replaced by SLMS4 which have 4*3pin

there have no different by using normal multiple socket, as long as protected equipments must locate side by side with cal-lab unit then should be fine.

hi, if i buy trinity twin power pack...
do i need proper installation for my tv, modem and etc....?
what is the amount i can claim if it fails to protect my equipment?
*

yes, it is a MUST to understand your equipment setup before asking for suggestion...
all the sources of equipment setup MUST be filter thru lightning protector as surge can come from EVERYWHERE...

even MOST expensive lightning protector still a junk too if just purely partial protection / wrong protector installation, so Cal-Lab won't responsible for such incidents which is caused by the end user's faults...

if you asking for compensation, u can go for Belkin which covered with insurance as u paying with higher price for insurance coverage... For Cal-Lab doesn't required end user to pay for insurance coverage (no compensation provided) as it was efficient enough to protect equipments if the end users follow our recommendation exactly...

FYI, quite number of Belkin user at LYN switched to Cal-Lab due to their *ahem* protection level provided... hence, i sold Cal-Lab more than 6 years at LYN and sold to 300 users+, almost ZERO complaints about the Cal-Lab's performance except the wrong Cal-Lab installation with wrong models / location, otherwise i won't sustain at LYN for so long... you can refer to Post#2 for more performance comparison as feedback by end-users...

I was trying to find a Belkin surge protector in the trade zone until I found this thread, and damn it sure is hard to understand where to start and what to buy.

So basically I need to something to protect my whole internet life (pc, router, unifi stb, printer, ps3, monitor, xbox) and I'm trying to find something like the 8outlet Belkin surge protector. I tried going through the product list and the Cal-Lab website itself (gosh its horrible btw. Its like kids on acid learning HTML), but I still don't get it.

So could I humbly ask for some advise. Do I need to get just one of those 1outlet protector + my own elcheapo 8outlet socket or what? I'd really appreciate some help.  icon_question.gif

*

ur PC consist of modem, router, fax printer, telephone, networking, etc...
hence what type of data connection involved via tel cable, lan cable, wireless broadband, etc...
also what is the distance between each devices and which devices located at other location?
do you have any PC-PC networking via the same router?
i need all the information of ur current setup which interconnected with each others, otherwise the MOST expensive lightning protector also wont able to protect ur equipment efficiently...

Hi there:
Stumbled on your product while googling protection for unifi. Can you please let me know if you have any product that could protect my unifi modem, router, a 46 inches led tv, ps3 as well as a desktop optiplex 745 desktop. I am currently running all these through a belkin surge protector and I am hoping for more protection.

Thanks
*

is it ur setup only consisted of TV, PS3, PC, unifi wireless router, unifi STB, unifi BTU and unifi DECT which side by side with each others? any wired lan cable connected to other PC or laptop?

Hi Bro, need an advice for suitable set-up for me. Need protector for 2 rooms.
1. Living Room - Unifi Wireless setup
-TV, Wireless Phone, Xbox,PS3, Unifi TV box, Modem, Wifi Router

2. Office Room - Wireless set-up
    - Desktop Pc, Laptop

Is SF9512DSL(living room) and MDSC0039(Office Room) enough?
What is the difference between SF9512DSL and SF9812DSL?
*

if the items as above for 2 location located side by side on the same area... u can use MDSC0039 for power protection if your incoming cable of Unifi using fiber optic and your networking no involved with wired lan cable to other PCs...

SF9812DSL have the separate tel module; but SF9512DSL tel module is built in...
as cost efficient, SF9812DSL is better than SF9512DSL in term of long run...

I think my Unifi is copper as I'm staying in condo.

Yes, I'm only using wireless for my LAN.
*
so for the following setup (TV, Wireless Phone, Xbox,PS3, Unifi TV box, Modem, Wifi Router) using copper wires as Unifi input and no wired lan cable to other PCs... you can use SF9512DSL / SF9812DSL...

for Desktop PC and Laptop which in wireless mode, u can use MDSC0039 for power protection only...

Sorry, I forgot that my TV is connected to the modem through LAN cable. So SD-4Ccu (+DSL) is better suited for the living room?

How much for SD-4Ccu (+DSL) and MDSC0039 with postage to Bukit Jalil,KL?
*

as long as ur TV located side by side with modem, wireless router, Unifi devices and others. you can ignore the lan protection. anyway, your TV no connected with any aerial antenna and astro satelite dish?

No, I don't have antenna connected to my TV, just the Unifi set-up and the LAN from the modem.
*

if no aerial antenna, astro dish, wired lan cable to other PCs and all unifi devices located together with your equipments... you can use SF9512DSL/ SF9812DSL...

for other standalone PC which connect via wireless, u can use MDSC0039...
