AV pack is "double sided"
meaning connect the power socket from left and right instead... as usual power socket design is connect from top only...

481. vandoren - 3*SF9812DSL, STV9511 (PosLaju, Sent 04/06/13, Received 05/06/13)

Hi TS,

One of my SF9812DSL seems to be faulty, which the phone line are not working (the power outlet side works fine). Wanna ask;

1. How do I check for lightning strike or voltage surge? It doesn't seem to have strong smell or burn marks.

2. How can I get service for repair/replacement? I saw that Perak area have Cal-Lab Associates, is it possible to go there for repair/service?

3. Can I get the module(SKPS-DSL CUSTOMIZED) and DIY it myself?

1. try to get a normal telephone plug onto SF9812DSL and heard whether is normal dial tone...
if dont have dial tone or buzz noise only, confirmed is damaged by lightning...

2. All resellers doesn't provide repair / restoration, only Cal-Lab HQ are the dedicated center for repair and restoration...
you can email to callabkl@gmail.com and callabhq@gmail.com for the process of restoration and payment method...
Please do inform them that is SKPXDSL module...

3. Yes, you can buy additional unit for spare / standby purpose for in case the failure of existing SKPXDSL...

Hi Gan,

Between SD-4C and SD-8C, I'm using it for Unifi's IPTV (running on the LAN cable).. not sure which one I need.

Does SD-4C only protects 4 wires or all 8 wires of the LAN cable?

for standard AV protection, you can use SFTV9622FC as recommended to protect power, aerial antenna, satelite dish and analog telephone...

as Powerline ace model, here the RRP price and discount will be provided later...
TRM-NIF-3-BU : RM108 (Base Unit to Power-source w/o bottom or top connectors)
TRM-NIF-3+PE : RM128 (BU+Power +Earth connectors on top)

Hi Gan,

We spoke on the phone, I'm Adon Hsu from Sarawak, need your expert advise on the SKPX module suitable for our PABX setup. Apologies if this is not within your area of expertise.

According to this:
http://www.cal-lab.com/downloads/09-How%20...20Equipment.pdf

There are three types of SKPX module:
1.SKPX-M(AR) = for analog PSTN line only
2.SKPX-D = Digital-Analog version for slow-DSL / ISDN or Analog + Caller ID
3.SKPX-DSL = For DSL only

Our office is using E1 ISDN PRI (2 pairs of copper wire) + Streamyx 8mbps (2 pairs of copper wire).

From my limited knowledge, I would say I need:
1. SKPX-D for my E1 ISDN PRI
2. SKPX-DSL for Streamyx 8Mbps

Can you help me verify? If not too troublesome.
