Thanks for the info.
I cant find the model SP9201DAF in cal-lab's website. Is it equivalent to SF9512-DSL?

If i'm not mistaken, MDSC0039 is a single 3-pin socket outlet, am i correct?

You have any pictures of them both?

thanks
thumbup.gif
*
Yes, MDSC0039 only have 1*3pin power socket... but u can purchase multi socket/ extension socket plug on it... and protection level wont effected

SP9201DAF = ordinary ADSL splitter filter + lightning protection

SP9201DSL = plug it between ordinary ADSL splitter filter and modem

SF9512DSL = MDSC0039 + SP9201DSL (only can support broadband signal - after ADSL splitter filter or direct line without ADSL splitter filter)

Trinity IT pack = Trinity Power Pack + SP9201DSL

MDSC0039 + multi socket + SP9201DSL = Trinity IT pack

MDSC0039 + multi socket + SP9201DAF = Trinity IT pack + support analog cordless telephone nod.gif

whats da diff between SD-4C and SD-8C? thx ya !
*

basically SD-4C and SD-8C are the same things... protect the power and RJ45 (Lan Cable), all of the RJ45 connector had 8pin...
normal networking only used pin 1, pin 2, pin 3 and pin 6...
but some special equipment such as ATM machines will used 8 pins (pin 1 ~ pin 8)...
which means SD-4C protect the RJ45 used 4pins only and SD-8C will protect all of the pin...

I would like to know what is the difference between Satellite-Pack and SFTV9622FC-MS2+3 model? what is the Full-Isolation FC-module? I have a satellite TV (not astro, it is actually a big disc with motor driven, and a digital/analog receiver), so which one is better to protect my TV and receiver.

thx
*

basically the satelite pack and SFTV9622FC-MS2+3 protect the same equipments, but satelite pack have more power sockets... and satelite pack's satelite module not sharing with the same PCB board, it have separate module for better protection which avoid sharing...

is ur satelite TV using the F-connector cable like those astro machine? can ensure whether ur cable can be connect to cal-lab device if the connectors are different...

Thanks, then I'd like to place an order for 1 x satellite pack. I think my cable connector is F-type, BTW, can it be repaired if hit by lightning? if possible, can we COD at sunway pyramid ?
*
okie... i dont have ready stock for satelite pack now... but i can COD on 11/2 night at sunway pyramid/esso petrol station...
or maybe 10/2 (before 6pm) as well but preferably at SS2/centrepoint, i have a dinner at damansara jaya...

regarding the repair, we only deal with immediate replacement exchange rather than repair for u... pls read the spoiler below...

There's a green cable that comes out of the SP9201DAF, where should I connect it to?

Is this the "earth" wire?
*
yup... green cable indicated to connect to earth...
if not connected the cable, cal-lab will get strucked easily if not able to isolate properly...

Do I connect the green wire to the green one in the telekom telephone mount box?

you know, the small square box that telekom connects at every home phone line.

If I only want to protect my phone line and not power, I only need the SP9201-DAF right? So I can just throw away my d-link micro filter and replace it with it?
*

the telekom telephone mount box tat u refering should be MDF (main distribution frame)... if there have the box's screw tighten on the wall, u can attach the green wire on the it... but still recommended to connect on earth pin unless the screw was "shallow" deeply into the wall, otherwise the electric resistance will be high and not able to isolate well...

Yup, SP9201DAF = ADSL splitter filter... but still recommended to protect power line (and others if have), cal-lab wont responsible tat ur equipments burnt (with SP9201DAF only) because of the "back kick" from power line (or others)

can u recommend me which one..
i need for use with my computer, router and phone line..
for the 2nd time in 4 months my mobo and router kong because l
ighting strike my phone line..
sigh...
*

SF9512DSL, SF9812DSL or IT pack would the best choices for u... this 3 models will protect PC and router... those models wont protect effective if u had other external equipments connected to PC/router since there have a back kick for lightning... if u means to protect PC/router, make sure not other equipments connect to ur PC/router...

that mean other equipment tu other computer lar..now i get it..

btw..izzit confirm my com and router not kong if use that u suggest to me just now..??
*

yup... IF only router and pc connected to each other...

not only the "other pc", still have many possibilities... maybe u connected the external equipment/cable on ur "pc" ? on ur "modem" ? that means had a "hole" on the boundary which allowed ligthning to struck ur units... good installation such as this if u had complex equipments connected to each others...

hi, i am looking at the STV9511 cuz it has the most plugs, i need it for my TV, astro, DVD player and Hifi....is that model the one for me?

i also need one for my PC, modem, printer,scanner....any recomendation?

thanks alot.
*

STV9511 doesnt support astro protection... and it only had 1*3pin power socket...
if u look for most power sockets and support astro protection, SFTV9622FC/AV pack/Satelite pack will suit with ur requirement...

assumed u only have standalone pc which without any connection from external...
the SF9812DSL, SF9512DSL, IT pack, SF9512DSL MS2+3 will suit on ur requirement

how much will the SFTV9622FC/AV pack/Satelite pack be?
*
SFTV9622FC-MS2+3 -> RRP:RM113, 15%off , Now:RM97.

AV-pack -> RRP:RM143, 15%off, Now:RM122

Satellite-Pack -> RRP:RM133, 15%off, Now:RM114

another cheaper options (2 models combination)
SL-MS2+3 + MD-FC = RM63 + RM33

gkl83 i dont want got plug pretection coz i'll get an AVR. I just want to protect the phoneline to my modem and frm router to 2 pc. Sp if i get
SP9201-DAF AND SLAN-1236 for my LAN protection.
*

FYI, if u insisted not to protect the power line and used cal-lab devices (protect tel line and lan cable only) as well... cal-lab wont responsible if ur pc units burnt because the lightning surge may come from power line (AVR doesnt design for lightning protection)... its was not cal-lab fail to protect ur equipments

SP9201DAF = ADSL splitter filter (tel line protection)
SLAN1236 to protect pc networking cable (lan cable) only

I want SP9201DAF, SLAN1236 &
SC0039 (10A)?10A izit support pur local use 13A?

Added on April 8, 2007, 8:34 pmei..i think i get the IT pack is more better izit?I'm not familier with this thing...u give comment rclxms.gif how much is the Trinity Promo Pack now(RM123)?
If this thing fried, still got warranty ar? rolleyes.gif
*

SC0039 not suitable to use together with other models, only for the equipment which have required power source only and design for 1 to 1...
MDSCO039 will be able to combine with other models and able 1 to many by using multisocket...

10A means for the equipment's power consumption, not refering to TNB's voltage... recommended not to exceed 10A otherwise the protection level will be reduce or cal-lab burn easily...

if u prefer the most cost effective, i would recommend for SF9812DSL or MDSC0039 + SP9201DAF... cheaper cost for replacement exchange... if u expect for more socket and neater cabling, IT pack/ SF9512DSL MS2+3 will fit into...

about the warranty, pls read below
