sounds good to me. I didn't really read the whole thing la but the impression is now crap legendaries can be good right?

and the rares can be good also.

i think the top ends legendaries won't be affected or else there will be an outrage.

Blizz strategy to keep us spend money on upgrading.. like they intro new/enhanced legs/sets in 1.04 and NOT to buff existing items..

Actually, it has created many scraps.
i.e. rare quiver for DH. Mojo for WD. Source for Wiz.
It's actually become scrap gear.

If the existing gears are good enough for MP10, what's there to upgrade?
Perhaps we will have paragon level up to 300 & monster power up to 20 soon. laugh.gif

believe me, for rich player they will upgrade.. like Radiant Star to Marquise.. extra 1% life, 4 Stats, 10% CD (unless for Ruby on weapon).. I see many players using Marquise now.. smile.gif

in addition there's another blue post regarding mob density and class itemization.

i agree to travis where he is trying to bring people grind for monster instead of AH, just like in 1.0.7, which is a good way to go.

on the other hand, if any ilvl legendary is going to drop in inferno while legendary drop rate remains the same, meaning chances we will get EF or Mempo or any potential end game legendaries will become lower. would love to see how travis buff all other legendary to make us still have the 'wow' effect.

i wonder how will ilvl63 leorics gonna look like? 200 dex, 6cc, 30 exp and 7 pickup radius? hmm.gif

in d2 lod there are recipes to upgrade normal and exceptional version of unique and rare items to their elite counterparts. some items becomes much more powerful and very sought after when upgraded to elite, e.g. arreat's face, gore riders, ethereal shaftstop, hoz, ribcracker etc.

think of upgrading d3 buriza to become a lvl60 item.

i just wish they implement the number of gem we want to craft, ie, with all sufficient resources, i just key in the number and auto combine itself, then i can go do some other real life stuff...

They should make HF ring more appealing to PL100 players .. once u hit max para, most probably u will ditch the HF ring @ stop doin ubers altogether ... all those hours grinding for keys n organs to craft a good HF ring down the drain.
It would be nice if they remove the "chance to launch xplosive ball of hellfire" affix & replace it with an extra random roll. I even dont mind if they raise the crafting cost for HF ring.

yeah those "chance to" will definately be much better than the existing xplosive blast .. plus it'll lead to more diversified builds around DoT type of attacks (which now are rarely used due to most popular builds revolves around using highest dps possible attacks) .. gears such as rare gloves, belts, boots with possibility to roll those "chance to" affixes will not end up being salvaged/vendored too.

I'd managed to craft 1 emerald, 1 ruby and 1 amethyst marquise gem from the quality of flawless square.

So far based on my experience, I've decided not to craft another marquise gem anytime soon.

30 yard pickup radius
Another extra 100% Magic Find
Increase damage by 15-20% (its only right)
Increase all resistance by 40%
Increase passive movement speed by 10%

good...plenty of good lookin legends in the low tier, but BiS will still be BiS, just that which will be the next BiS, then back to square one, all be runnin around with it (or hoping for it).

i still would like see UNiD in AH, it creates gold sink and gambling purpose like in D2, also for players to generate few coins.

oh...might wanna stack up those low level legends recipe...just for prep, incase those crafted legs also going for a revamp in 1.08.

its a gamble, until official notes is out, nothing is certain...so sendiri buat, sendiri tanggung.

one more thing .. shouldnt they increase the stash size for some items like FSq gems too 1000 per stack instead of 100 ?
ToS and other stuffs as well ...

and should fix the main stats of some items.. like IF gloves dont give me 240 dex laa..

Lol... Welcome to mmorpg.. Other game have like lvl 250.. So far on other rpg my highest 160.. Grinding to death.. Yes can go PL 200 if got expension on the journey of diabloing.. If not.. I will continue sleeping front of my pc again...


Few minute later...

just wonder by this statement
"By design, Legendary items are going to drop far less often than Rare items, and we want that rarity to be reflected in their power"

does that mean it going to be harder to get legs in next patch.? so if it does should i grind legs now and keep it unid till 1.08? maybe i keep some just incase. XD

if rare drops will be reduced, and by design Legs should drop far less, the answer is "yes". less Legs in the future.

but this will not be implemented in 1.08.

Back to D2 i just love that 1 big mace 1 swing diablo die.. so no more in D3, can use everything to kill leah. So no more favorite weapon we can keep as personal item. Hope when less drop on rare AH ppl start to do crafting and farming. and the best part people start collecting white item to make it as rare item. just get back to square 1.

I think need better set bonuses also... seldom see ppl go full piece set... and also more useful new sets which give bonus to dps or ias.. also enhance existing set items like natayla bow for instance.... garbage bow...

i miss the variety of runs that D2 offers compared to endless Act 3 grinding in D3

-pindle run for high lvl legs
-Baal minions for challenge .. Lister anybody?

IIRC, they removed Fallen Maniac elite packs few updates ago. They used to spawn at Unknown Depth / Storm Halls

Boj Anglers offer an interesting alternative to Ice Climbers, and will likely be BIS for CM/WW Wizards looking to stack IAS (IAS / Main Stat / MS% / 1 random roll)

For weapons it goes without saying now that Sledge Fist is going to be stunningly good, but I am also very interested to see how the weapons with CC% on them scale (Kill, Arreat's Law, Nutcracker, and Flesh Tearer).

And one final note; it is still completely unclear what these changes mean for low level set plans, if anything.

dont count the chicken b4 the egg hatch lolz ... until a blue post confirms the scaling of affixes for low lvl legendary dropped in inferno i dont think its wise to rush n sell all your BiS legendary
afaik .. the only blue post i read regarding this issue is they confirmed the base dmg & base armor will scale with ilvl .. nothing mentioned about affixes scaling with ilvl so far

Q. Will all legendaries found on Inferno roll level 63 base stat values (armor and dps values) and level 63 "non-base" (affixes) stat values?

- Zoth#2543 (Americas [English]), Koric#1513 (Americas [English]),Hardhat#2565 (Europe [German]), sergeix #2204 (Europe [Spanish])


Travis: Yes, our plan is to handle Legendary items in a similar fashion to how we handle Rare items. Legendary items will roll at a level equal to the creature that dropped it. This means that, in addition to a Legendary’s stats rolling at the monster level, the base item stats will also roll at the monster's level. Right now, Rares don't work this way. Instead, their affixes roll at the level of the monster, but their base armor and weapon damage remain unchanged.


Q. "Love Leoric's Signet, but hate wearing a level 17 ring? Me too. Instead of farming Act II Normal to find a Leoric's Signet, let's go farm Inferno and get a level 63 version of the ring!"

Does this mean that every set and legendary item will have a chance of dropping in Inferno?

Don: Giving players more control and customization of their item stats is something we talk about a lot in our office. There have been a lot of ideas thrown around here and some great suggestions from the community, but we have not finalized any systems yet.

To give you an idea of what direction we're heading toward, though, here are just a few ideas that we're considering right now:

The ability to change a portion of a particular stat on an item to another stat of your choice
The ability to augment an existing item with a stat bonus of your choice
The ability to create an item with one or several fixed affixes—similar to the Rare recipes introduced in 1.0.7
We've also discussed adding other types of "socketables" with a wide variety of possible affixes that you can put in your socketed items instead of gems


All of these systems have their positives and negatives, so we want to make sure we make the right choice and consider all other changes we plan on making before deciding which systems we want to implement.

As far as the Mystic goes, she's a cunning lady. I’m sure we haven't seen the last of her.


Q. Where is my add socket?

- TwoCoins#1776 (enUS), Graupel#2865 (Europe [English])


Wyatt: When the game was in development, we the Blacksmith had the ability to add a socket to an item. Adding a socket makes the item better, so you pretty much always wanted to do it, and we found adding the socket felt like a small chore that didn’t actually increase the gameplay depth. You already need to insert gems to a socketed item, and felt having to add a socket as well would be a step too many.

With that in mind, there are still some gameplay benefits to adding a socket that we’d still like to capture. Although having to add a socket every time can feel like a chore, if there was a mechanic that made it a legitimate decision, that is something we could explore. Additionally, there’s something to be said for feeling more invested in an item—taking steps to improve an item increases your emotional bond with it, which is something we could definitely do better at.

So, to answer your question, it’s something that’s definitely on the table for the future, but it likely won’t be identical to the system that was in Diablo II or the early iterations of Diablo III.


Q. Will there be new craft-able items added in the future? I'm thinking weapons and/or legendary items...

- Cee#2572 (Europe [English]), Kiwi #2165 (Europe [Polish])


Wyatt: It’s hard to say for sure, but I don’t see any reason why not. As we revisit items in general, we’ll be looking at how crafting fits into the big picture, and it’s certainly possible that we’ll add more recipes at that time.


Q. So you have a plan to reduce the number of dropping items but increasing their quality. This will result in a smaller amount of items that can be salvaged into crafting materials for the Blaksmith, With this in mind – do you plan balance the amount of crafting materials gained from salvaging against the material requirements of blacksmith’s formulas?

- Agetriu #2991(Europe [Polish])


Don: Yes, we plan to take all of our future changes into consideration when balancing the amount of reagents needed for crafting recipes. We haven't decided on a number to reduce the number of drops by yet, so we can't go into specifics on how or if existing and future crafting recipes are going to change.

Suddenly, a lot of item seem viable for high level! Seem a lot of work!

ps: for those with a lot of gold, but still cannot buy a mempo with 6cc... Andariel's Visage will be just as good!

No. A blue has confirmed it in the forum that today's maintenance is usual. Not a patch rollout.
