hi all the sifus here, i have a small question to ask.

if someone wanted to choose between the x100s and the xe1 with 35mm f1.4, which one would be better? the price would be similar right?

the x100s has built in nd filter and also super fast sync speed which the xe1 lacks? same to the optical viewfinder.

Optical viewfinder is big for me, so i will pick X100s at my heartbeat. The second factor to me is the ability and flexibility to change lense for XE1.

hmm... i have to try out the evf yet, but i really like to use ovf on my dslr so i think the ovf might be important for me. how's the macro capability of the x100s? good enough? and fuji's hotshoe can use with standard flashes and triggers?

U will still need dslr for serious macro, but normal close up shot should be no problem for X100s, just you can switch it to macro mode.

Ya standard hotshoe, can use other brand, but no ttl

how about the 18-55mm kit lens for the xe1?

any other key features differ between x100s and xe1 other than ability to change lenses, optical viewfinder, built in nd filter and leaf shutter?

maybe you should pre focus the subject? that means letting your camera to focus on the subject before he jumps.

Mean press half to focus the object before jump?
*
yeah, that might solve your problem. does your subject just jump up or fowards/backwards?

Is jump up..i want to capture when levitation.will try again..normally what is the apeture when shoot at outside..like beach.

depends on condition to be honest, you should check the shutter speed too. if the shutter speed is around 1/1000 or above, then of course you can stop down, as long as it is 1/250 or above, you should be able to free the action.

Wanted to ask a little question, is there any adapter out there to mount Canon FD/EF lenses on Fujifilm XE1?

hello guys,

i'm planning to get the new X-M1, and most probably would be getting from Japan. I've tried this model locally and found out that right now it only comes with a complete set with a kit lens 17-55mm. However, a new 27mm F2.8 pancake lens will be another(better?) alternative.

1. anyone here experience buying fujifilm camera from oversea? will the warranty be an issue?

2. apparently amazon japan is selling x-m1 + 17-55mm + 27mm at the price of 83830 yen (approx RM2850) , while local is selling RM3588 for the same thing. why is such a huge price gap?
*
hmmm, do you mean the 16-50 or the 18-55 kit lens?

I've also read about the pricing thing on dpreview, but some of them said it was because of taxes or something.

any idea what's the street price for x100 black edition in KL? decided to get a new one instead of taking the risk with a second hand unit.

I saw ShaShinKi selling 3.5k but got quoted by some shops ard 2.8k. Any idea what's with the big price difference? Shop said is ori Fuji Malaysia set, can trust?

Why do you want the black version? It's more expensive than the silver version by quite a bit sweat.gif
