CTR only use Ron 97 so less headache about power delivery. Can use daily. But the ride is really harsh. I follow many times at the back can see the car hopping on uneven ground. Thats a visual clue to a real CTR and a fake one.

Well the fake one also can be harsh if already change the suspension with stiff ones. smile.gif

Even if u cut the spring or change the spring, it will not hop around like ori CTR. Can confirm this easily. Rebound rate and damping rate all different. laugh.gif

he hasn't heard of 'adjustable absorbers' aka coilovers.............who the hell still 'cut springs' in this day and age?
*
Yeah i never heard of adjustable. I don't even know how a RM100K aftermarket suspension with additional fancy gadget that is put on dashboard looks like. Even if u have adjustable, u will never manage to replicate the harsh ride of CTR. Not that anyone would wanna do that in the first place. hahaha. Seriously i never see a CTR un-CTR-ed before. Maybe changed rims. Even then i'll be looking out for its hopping nature. Not that i could spot thats true CTR being parked anyway.

They can install the Type-R suspension right? Or change to after market sport/race springs & dampers or coil over which can even stiffer, and hence will hop even worse. smile.gif

Install Type R suspension? Hmm... i have seen a Japanese magazine about the CTR few years ago. They have picture to picture comparison of every changes the regular civic compared to CTR. The suspension system on the CTR...... lets say is very different and complex. So many wish bones, control arms, bushes .. and a bunch of things i can see, but do not know what it is. I do not know if can buy the replacement suspension for CTR and pnp in a regular civic. But the rest of the under carriage especially the steering and suspension stuff are very different. So probably no way u could get a CTR handling just by installing suspensions.

Maybe, but my point is if you want to get stiff suspension setup that will hop, it can be done, so just seeing a Civic hop over the bumps does not necessarily 100% will determine that it's a Type-R. I've seen many regular Civics also hop like that already. smile.gif

Thats the thing. Regular civic not CTR. I hardly ever see any regular civic with hoppy suspensions. Would anyone paint their champion white CTR to another color? Wrap maybe. The jump is not pronounced, but visible. I seen many times on the road that i think i developed a stupid skill that can spot a clone one easily. laugh.gif

Its kind of boring and interesting at the same time to see how many of these FD on the road. laugh.gif So i end up making stupid car games when i drive to work and anywhere. My passenger friends thought i am kinda nuts when i say this car has this and that car has that. laugh.gif I drive too much. Thats the problem.

i mean guess the car (on the opposite lane) that is very far ahead and got some car blocking it and see who can guess what car is it.  well, traffic jam really too much time on hour hands, we can wait till the car comes nearer and decides who wins.

Hmm... never thought of that. I worry i will make the car in front of me not virgin..... sweat.gif
