Dear all....by reading some of the comments on buying equipments for new divers.
I would strongly recommend and highlight to all fresh or experience divers to buy a good and not too small "sausage", learn how to use it as it will be your life saving equipments and it doesn't cost you a lot. a decent one will cost about 100 -200. remember Perhentian incident lately it can be avoided if a sausage is deploy.
you may consider to accessorize yourself up with dive com and others fancy stuff when you move towards advance level or consider diving as your frequent hobby.

QUOTE(EvanSoon @ Jul 23 2013, 04:39 PM) Actually hor.. I also dun understand about these project aware.. if a place really want to promote awareness and help the environment why are they still charging such a price for people to go and work and pick up rubbish while they get sponsorship and so on from certain company. Its like using people's kindness for a profit. I mean its ok to charge but at least give 50% discount or something la. To me its actually consider cheap, its around 800 for 4d3n full board with 5 dive (but have to work as cleaner a bit), nice hotel and food which normally cost you ard 800 for 3d2n without diving. i didn't attend other project aware before apart from this organizer, last time i only work 20% of the time, the rest is leisure time or maybe need to attend the boring class session about conservation at night. if i calculate normal price 5 dive x RM100 + RM900 4d3n hotel= RM1400 but in this case i only need to pay RM800 which its almost 50 % discount, to me totally worth it.

QUOTE(chastise @ Jul 23 2013, 05:40 PM) Which nice hotel is this? And.... what food are they serving that can costs up to RM800? Its Coral redang next to redang bay & pelangi (forgot). food is normal like laguna minus the hectic and way better then pelangi and redang bay which is more like "chapfan aka nasi campur". the hotel is belong to Sultan of Terengganu as i was told. if you check on website most of the pictures is before renovation.
