If you took your course in the island, not they dont want to post for you, if they post, the certification card will be send to them, unless you want to pick it up again from island... 

If you can wait till Malaysia Internation Dive Expo (MIDE) on 5-7 July 2013, I'm sure you can get many interesting offers than what we or others can offer now. We don't see any dive center having any promotions now. We will update information if we can find any.  In MIDE, you can get all inclusive Open Water package for as low as RM 900. so stay tune 

We might be going to Tioman in June. Can join us.

Most of the MIDE deals you can book and travel next year, so you have plenty of time to get airasia promotion... but sometimes its better to drive than to fly... 
your budget? 

yeah... no budget need to drive... somemore kiasu can dive more. Otherwise need to wait at least 18 hours before flight... if driving still can dive the morning we check out.. 
about your budget right, depends on where you want to go and what you want... again depends on your budget...  you can choose to stay at 5 star sea view suite accommodation or you can stay at dorm. boat dive is range around 50-120/dive in malaysia... so 3D2N is normally 5 dives, so you can do your calculation right?

So how much you paid for your redang trip? maybe you can tell us where you want to go and we can calculative a cost for you... 

Haha, so let's say RM 1.7k for 4D3N, andden minus RM 1k for open water course. So the accommodation for 4D3N is RM 700.

RM 700 for 4D3N accommodation... So for diving, let's say RM 80/dive in redang beach. So can count already? hehe 

want to join us to perhentian? your friend? she diver also?  can share rooms with other girls?
if you want to stay redang beach those accommodation, that's the price you have to pay... 

btw, laguna is RM 200 for 4 boat dives... 

and RM 700 + 400 is RM 1100....  without transportation yet... 

hmm, redang beach is RM 80 per dive... so who is cheaper?  But both is without equipment rental also 

wanna fight for scuba diving to be recognised as official sports. hahaha

Just arrived home from Tioman. Did 6 dives over 2 days. Did Renggis, Soyak and White Sands on the first day and Golden Reef, Tiger Reef and Labas on the 2nd day. Viz was 15m throughout! Awesome altho it rained on the first day. We did 2 dives in the morning and ascended in rain on the 2nd dive. Did the house reef white sands also ascended in rain. Nothing special but there were a lot of fishes. One of my best trips to Tioman to date.

Dove with Diver's Cove in Paya. Was staying at Tioman Paya Resort. Unfortunately, something bad happened when we were at Tioman Paya Resort. Its highly not recommended that you stay there. On Day 2 of our stay, after the dives, it was raining heavily. So we hiked back up to the resort to grab some chow. Not great food also, but for convenience sake we decided to eat there.

The rain and wind was like crazy. So we went to the resort cafe and sat down on a table that has already been setup with plates and bowls and what not. The other tables was wet. A lady waitress came over and told us off rudely that the table was reserved for dinner. (At that time it was 12pm in the afternoon) One of my buddy then tried to reason with her, saying that the other tables were wet and the wind was blowing still at that time. He insisted that we use that table. Again she rudely refused. It then translated into us sitting on a wet table with my buddy complaining to us in mandarin. The usual, wtfs why like that bla bla bla service bad bla bla bla.

Fast forward to the last night we were there. After hanging at the dive center we decided to grab a few drinks on the beach. A group of local boys came. Hooliganing around us, as usual we though they were drunk. Then they started to threaten and verbally abuse us for being kurang ajar, bla bla bla. And the best part is 2 of them are the resort staff. I would assume that they were drunk. We didnt even know whats up with them until they mentioned that we were "rude" to one of their sisters in the resort. Keep threatening to whack us up and rape the girls in my group. Saying that the ladies wear sexy la. They geram la. That time we were not even pissed just found it funny that a bunch of scrawny kids were screaming profanities and threats at a bunch of body builders and MMA fellas. After they got bored with screaming and us not responding to them, they left us alone with threats of "kasi pecah muka lu bila lu balik hotel"

In the end nothing bad happened. But still a crappy overall experience. Gonna call up the local KL resort office to lodge a complaint. And just as nice, one of our buddies in the group is a lawyer, so he's planning to send in a legal letter just for the lulz. Lets see what happens and i'll update here.
