Yes, for DAN, you will need to membership then only you can buy for that insurance.

other insurance such like AXA travel insurance provide coverage to leisure diver. you guys can check it up, most of the travel insurance company can provide scuba diving coverage, but additional cost of course.

i will update about insurance tonight.

AXA Affin offer both general insurance(Life & Personal Accident) and also for smart traveller (travel insurance), Their smart traveller insurance covers scuba diving as well. Yes, you can call them and they will activate it immediately or you can let them know in advance.

Kiasu is buy for whole year, kiasi is buy all type of insurance from all different companies.

BTW, think you all should know, you can only claim from ONE insurance company. Doesn't mean if you kiasu buy all the insurance from all different insurance company you can claim from everyone of them... whistling.gif

I've bought AXA's travel insurance for scuba purposes before, quite cheap only (RM xx). They have the rates (depending on travel destination and duration) on their website.

However for equipment coverage (if gear gets stolen or whatnot), IIRC is quite low one. Probably won't be enough to cover your BCD/regs.

Touch wood, yet to make a claim before laugh.gif

Now this makes me wonder which would be better for a diver? Take a yearly 1 but you might only dive 2 -3 times a year.. but take those by count seems limited and you might dive more than that amount depending on time...

If you take yearly one it will cover your non-diving related holiday too, not only scuba diving.. I think it is still worth going for the annually one.

The trip is actually on a public holiday. So you don't actually have to take any leaves. Unless your work requires you to work on weekends or public holiday.

Anyways, there's always the next trip. biggrin.gif
