Does your crt tv has s-video input? If it has, then yes, the quality of the wii graphic will be sharper. Here is a youtube video of wii comparison between using s-video and composite av look like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=micX4wjZuig. You can notice the s-video being sharper in details smile.gif

Hi, just wanna ask, would this work from a PS2 to a LCD TV?

I read on another thread that some people have problems with it to LCD TV, but not on CRT. But I also read that component cable is the best quality for PS2.

Read it here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/684978/all

Yes, it's true, ps2 best graphic quality is achieved either via s-video or component cable. The graphic produced will be sharper and less blurry than composite av. Take a look at this screenshot for the difference in improvement on ps2 http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/2081/sv...ompositeps2.jpg

Yes, that too is true, some people have trouble getting the component cable to work on their ps2 and hdtv. There are many reasons for it and the only sure way to know, is to actually test it on your ps2 and hdtv. Hence, I also offer full refund should the cable does not work for you no matter the reason so you can have a peace of mind smile.gif

Here's some screenshot from me after using his cable i bought from him some days ago..
i wonder is it against the rules to post other forum's link instead.. hahaha..
http://bbs.tgbus.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=4562510

hope this helps... Component cable is still worth it if u are still playing PS2 though.. if u are playing PS3, i strongly recommend to get a HDMI cable instead.. smile.gif

Thank you, this will help indeed rclxms.gif I have been wanting to post up some comparison screenshots here but I don't have a ps2 anymore. Glad you're able to share your feedback here. Well, if the link serve a purpose, I don't think the mod will mind..hehe tongue.gif

As for ps2, yep, if you're still playing ps2 games, it is recommended to get component cable over composite cable if your tv can support it. The sharper details and clearer texts will make it more enjoyable nod.gif As for ps3, if you can't use hdmi cable, the component cable will be your next best choice to play in HD whether on a capture device or on a tv with no hdmi port smile.gif
