I just bought a 3dsxl on 3/3/2013
And I open it today to find that there is a dead pixel on the upper screen
I didn't drop the console or anything I wont even let anyone touch it and I treat it like a baby
I want to know a couple of things :
1. Is this covered by warranty ?
2. If not how much yo fix it?
3. Is there any home remedies I can try to fix it ?

AFAIK, the official warranty does not cover dead pixel (as it's a fairly common in LCD screens) . There should be a disclaimer somewhere in your instruction manual.

But who knows, if you pester them enough they might let you exchange it.

Alright like the staff said they won't let me change the dead console cause its not his"policy" I checked the Nintendo forums on the website and they stated that they will change the dead pixel anyone know where a lisenced Nintendo service center is here in Malaysia ?

And worst case scenario if I have to go pay for one myself how muchis it to change ?

okay i need to re edit, i just called maxsoft in singapore and they told me their office is located in damansara perdana and that the dead pixel is covered by my warranty i am going there today or tomorrow to see if this is true i will be back to you guys shortly

urm... IIANM, 3DS XL aren't officially launched by Maxsuck in MY
so how are they gonna cover the warranty?

also, TS, is your set US set or SG set? if it's not SG set then they might not change for you.
