u sure ur router is Gigabit WAN and Ethernet?  hmm.gif

Gigabit.. tested 5ghz, getting 200mbps laugh.gif

QUOTE(junclj @ Oct 16 2018, 11:45 AM)
it is wifi limitation. 2.4Ghz only limit at maximum 90~100mbps. Usually we can get around 80mbps+.
my home with 500mbps, only connect to 5GHz to get maximize speed but usually is 300mbps+ only. Need to do few more times speedtest to get 400mbps+. Never get full 500mbps. I'm with RT-AC86U as main router and RT-AC55UHP as access point. Sometimes, my RT-AC55UHP performs better than my main router. The speed can reach 460~470mbps. Even my main router not always get that speed.

However, for long range wifi signal. Still my main router is stronger but when I walk to further range, from my main router at upstairs to dining room at downstairs. My phone is still connected with my upstairs main router but not the downstairs access point. The speed is around 40mbps +, not bad for long range. Only when I go to living room at downstairs, my phone will automatic switch to access point. Speed around 300~400mbps+.

getting 200mbps on 5ghz now laugh.gif

now the cable is a real headache due to proximity issue sweat.gif

need to lay new cable again as well as remove the old set rclxub.gif

Anyway, it's far more earlier than expected since the email stated will be next year 1st qtr.

Thanks TM lol... screamyx users, pls dont shoot me laugh.gif

Nice. The 1st page of this thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4658474
contains the information on how to get full and stable high speed connection on the new turbo-upgrade.

For now, I am connecting the internet via 2 methods.

- Cat 6 cable for heavy download, high definition streaming, and file transfer.
- Wifi for casual surfing.
*
not very accurate to be honest on some of the info.

cat5e speed can be 100mbps instead of 1000mbps. Because my 6.y.o. cat5e cable is 100mbps lol..

Changed to cat6 to enjoy turbo but somehow not much content to dl laugh.gif

So Salleh Keruak was right - Malaysians dunno what to do with fast internet

What todo & what to download is not the same.

Internet is way of life, everything is online now.

Keruak is using 1mbps as example, get it?

Cat5e cable can support up to 1Gbps, as i remember? cause technician that came to my home was using cat5e cable. is it true? just want to confirm, before tm technicians/ customer service talk bs to me again.
*
based on latest the spec, yes.

but i was using cat5e since many years ago but it was just capable of 100mbps. not sure due to pirated version or what.

bought a new cat6 cable, kawtim brows.gif

just check based on your LAN status there, the speed is indicated there.
