Using which router?
*
QUOTE(shahie @ Nov 20 2018, 06:01 AM)
for that speed, the most important is the performance of the router itself. please get the dual core processor MU-MIMO router such as Dlink Dir-882 or higher spec, or any brand similar.
*
My router is better than this.... nod.gif

if you very sure on this including no cpu bottleneck on your pc or laptop while doing your speed test, than you have to be patient since TM is still on his trial project for the turbo speed for home broadband.getting 400mbps instead of full speed of 800mbps at this time consider ok. lol
*
Yup, thats what im doing now...will wait till Jan before start complaining.
But so far with half the boost already feel satisfied... smile.gif

Equipment List
This list serves as a reference for now and it is the figures claimed by the hardware manufacturer and I actually verified the authenticity. I will update this list as we said. smile.gif

This list serve as a reference on what router you should purchase based on the performance of their WiFi. Unless specifically mentioned, these routers can support Gigabit speed over wired LAN.

WiFi Routers
TP-Link
100Mbps 300Mbps 300-500Mbps 500Mbps 800-1000Mbps
Archer C60  * Deco M5 ¹ Archer C1200 Archer C9 Archer C5400X
Archer C50  * Deco P7 ¹ Archer C6 Archer C7 Archer C5400
Archer C20  *     Deco M9 Plus Archer C3150
        Archer C2300 ²
* Older models like 841HP and C60, C60 and C20 are limited to 100Mbps due to their WAN port being 100Mbps only.
¹ 500Mbps on main deco and 300Mbps on mesh nodes. It is hard to compare mesh to normal routers.
² Up to 800Mbps

Asus
100-200Mbps 300Mbps 300-500Mbps 500Mbps 800-1000Mbps
RT-AC51U+ RT-AC1200G+  RT-AC58U RT-AC66U Blue Cave
    RT-AC1300UHP RT-AC67U AiMesh RT-AC86U
    Lyra RT-AC68U RT-AC88U
      Lyra Trio RT–AC5300
        ROG Rapture GT-AC5300
RT-AC55UHP top speed is limited to around 300Mbps on Unifi
RT-AC1300UHP and RT-AC58U top speed limited to around 500Mbps on Unifi.
Firmware issue, pending resolution from Asus.

D-Link
100Mbps 300Mbps 500Mbps 800-1000Mbps
DIR-816L* DIR-850L DIR-878 DIR-895L
  DIR-842 DIR-859 DIR-890L
  DIR-825+ DIR-868L DIR-885L
    DIR-880L DIR-882 ²
* DIR-816L limited to 100Mbps due to WAN port being 100Mbps only.
² Up to 800Mbps

Tenda
100Mbps 300Mbps 500Mbps
AC5* AC9 AC15
| AC6* | AC10U | AC18 |
* AC5 and AC6 limited to 100Mbps due to WAN port being 100Mbps only.

WiFi Adapters
USB WiFi Adapters
Here are the suggested WiFi AC adapters that you can buy. Personally I like the TP-Link T9UH and Asus USB-AC68.

TP-Link Asus D-Link
Archer T9UH AC1900 USB-AC68 AC1900 DWA-192 AC1900
Archer T4UH AC1300 USB-AC56 AC1200 DWA-182 AC1200
Archer T4U AC1300 USB-AC55 AC1300
I only include WiFi AC adapters and only those that are actually decent. Those mini adapters are small but they normally perform poorly.

Ethernet Cables
There are so many brands in the market that it is impossible to list all. I personally use Commscope for my personal projects.

I suggest you getting premade from Ugreen at Lazada. They are pretty decent and shipping is fast too.

many ppl ask this question, check your BTU, router, LAN cable, network switch make sure is gigabit switch not megabit switch.
the most importantly is get ready to save money and wait for upcoming 12.12 because you need $$$ to buy new router.
please do more visit taobao.
Lastly, this post may help you https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=91010211
get ready to aim for a cheap Asus RT-AC86U

my upgrade for unifi turbo 500mbps.
