I'm from Limbang Sarawak, never have unifi here before, local TM say they are bringing unifi in months ago. and it's still work in progress,

they started to deploy fibers 3 years ago, recently finish pull fiber around all housing area and commercial buildings here

have TM fdp white boxes up and labelled, connected, but dont know still need how long for the service to be ready

ur agent already registered for u before jan? then proceed after unifi active?

my fren in miri was upgraded from 50mbps to 100mbps for free last year end

nothing change, same equipment he use, just make sure your router is at least WiFi AC 5Ghz + N 2.4Ghz Dual band, for best wifi connection

and a decent one, dont use Dlink

no special equipment there, except if you are still using the old wifi n 2.4Ghz router

he's direct fiber to resident house, so no problem using 100mbps

if you are living in condominium or apartment, then you might be limited to 50Mbps


btw,

my area all FDP has been labelled and attached, cables are tied last few days, does that mean service availability is near?

those fdp has been hanging there incomplete for about 2 months and they just finish it recently

they have been busy at the new fiber cabinet nearby for 3 weeks

ya, now mostly give ac1200 which is good enough, no problem using 100mbps over wifi

i plan to get a mikrotik router when unifi available for me

lulz i live in rural limbang

my housing area all got unifi since Feb

sometime there's some area missed, not in coverage, even in big cities

i believe for sarawak, most likely phase 2 which is from jan 2019 to aug 2019

mine was jan 19 +, checked on website also before

still long

how about when an active unifi fdp right infront of ur house, has 2 ppl using it,

when u go apply, tm say no port, and says based on ur address, that fdp is not for your premises,

and it was housing area, only resident houses lol

bad move to share internet with someone else like that

no matter who they are, someday their usage sure affect u

also how if they do illegal stuff with it? u are the one get caught

make sure u have a Gigabit LAN Router and with WiFi 5Ghz AC Standard

or u wont be able to achieve over 100Mbps if u only have megabit LAN Router with wireless N 2.4Ghz

also even with Wireless AC 5Ghz, u might not be able to get full speed 500mbps

try test on ethernet gigabit cat6 cable only

so has anyone from Sabah/Sarawak with Bonanza Campaign plan gets Turbo ?

bonanza campaign plan were

RM129 10Mbps
RM 139 30Mbps (For 2 years)
RM 179/189 50Mbps (for 2 years)

Before when TM web still can check
my RM139 30Mbps was eligible Turbo on Jan 2019>

sad...

did u get email notification before upgrade?

and what plan were u using? RM179 30Mbps?
