QUOTE(1282009 @ May 11 2013, 01:41 AM) Thanks guys. I found the option in MB2U and I read the info at the site but it does not mention the charges for 3rd party transfer to another bank by using this a/c. Is it same as normal MB2U 3rd party transfer which is RM2 per transaction? It seems M2U Savers-i is slightly better compared to M2U Savers as there's also interest for balance below RM2k. Yes, M2U Savers-i is BETTER than M2U Savers (as balance between RM250 to RM2k gets 0.4% p.a. interest, creditted monthly)

QUOTE(danmooncake @ May 17 2013, 01:10 AM) Why is everyone so worried about PIDM ? For me I don't care. If a bank fails in Malaysia, other banks will take it over lah.

QUOTE(danmooncake @ May 17 2013, 07:39 AM) Yes, IF a BANK fails.. surely, other banks may take over BUT.. only if. this is a BANK. There are some org or financial institution that pretends to be bank and sell investment products that looks like a FD but isn't.. that is something to be wary. So, must make sure first. Bank Rakyat is not under PIDM, is it a bank ? MBSB is not under PIDM and it's a not a bank.

QUOTE(ay@m @ Jun 3 2013, 10:25 AM) http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/perso...ions/super.htmlis this promotion from Public Bank the same as the one from MBSB? Public Bank is honest to tell you the Effective 12-month FD Rate for this is 4.16% Looks OK lah.... not too bad with PIDM guarantee. You get monthly FD interest creditted into the PLUS Savings Account.

QUOTE(infested_ysy @ Jun 12 2013, 01:40 PM) I'm new to this fixed deposit account business thing, but I have RM10k lying around in my maybank account doing nothing at the moment. http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...al/ACC-Accounts^ I plan to open a fixed deposit account online with them (seems pretty easy, just click a few times and I'll get a FD account), but I don't quite understand how the profit rate is given out? For example, it says here 1 - month tenure gives 3.00% p.a profit. So they'll hold up my RM10k for a month, then give me the 3% interest a year later? Interest = Capital x 3% / 365 x 30 days

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jun 20 2013, 03:44 PM) Also have Sukuk fund available soon. Anyone know normally how long does it take for the fund to be back to our saving account (from the bank that we buy it from) ? The date is June 20th or 21st, right ? We should expect the funds either 21/22 June... Latest should be 30 June 2013 + final interest This post has been edited by ronnie: Jun 20 2013, 04:14 PM
