With only a few more days left till the WCG 2006 Malaysia Championships, here are some info for gamers and visitors!

Gamers:

Registration, photo taking and PC testing on Thursday (24th August) afternoon, 3pm onwards
Game tournament starts on Friday (25th August) morning unless told otherwise
Check the game rules, game version and train hard!

... what this mean ??? all the gamers need go to KLCC on thursday just for a photo taking ?? is it compulsory ??

what i heard on thursday is taking picture, register all gamer, test pc, then on friday just take ur tag, confirm ur seat.. then play loh..

that mean.... thursday must go there ?? if yes then it is too much... go there just for taking picture to registered.... woooooooW... waste time + money

Oh well, this issue have been going for some time especially for those who outside Klang Valley that register though me.

Like this la, to make it simple, IMHO (because I'm not working with In2, so I don't decide things), it's not really compulsory. But why In2 insisted on it are because :-

1. So that your name tag will have your picture. Nice to keep and show off
2. So that you can test out your PC, game, network and your hardware compability. By that, if any problem happened, you can work out the solution.
3. To sort out any problems with your participation (form not complete, detail missing, name missing, gender mistake la-hahahah, etc etc.).

So basically, what they want to do is to detect any problem before the tournament day. If you only found out the problem on Friday, it will interrupt the flow of the tournament. That involved not only you but bunch of other players...you don't really want to mess with angry gamers.

To outstation players, it's understable because they have to travel to KL but for Klang Valley players, come on la...once a year only. It's not only you alone travel to the hall on that day, so can meet new friends or the online pple that u never met in real life

This is normal with other world-class tournament to do a pre-tournament day test.

Another thing, you don't need to come at exactly 3pm. The hall most probably still be open up till 8-9pm.

i asked the wcg crew, they told me thursday is open till 7.30pm.

but that day, jessica told me the registraton until 9pm ooo....

i working until 7 pm u know.

Scarifice is needed.

Wonder if you qualified until the final round which is on Sunday will u call it waste of time?
