QUOTE(JohnJon82 @ Mar 25 2013, 09:20 PM) They should be the consultant for the project. Since you representing them, your job should be to ensure the work done is according to their drawings and specifications. thanks, noted.. hopefully i can used all my construction experience to avoid anything yeah,it said it in scope of work, said im need to attend meeting with authorities in morning, will be assign in team which area i should go,find any defects on pavement/walkway,snap a picture, then if finish after lunch, either i go home or office to write a report to submit.i think their office not so big, thats why they allow to go home after finish inspection, they appointed 30 new workers for this job Be careful on site, fall, accidents etc. Drink more water weather very hot. QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Mar 25 2013, 10:11 PM) this is pretty true. inspector job is never easy. must know all those design specifications. anything less than your due diligence would probably end up with a lawsuit/fine/jail term. yeah,if in construction will be need to know so much detail, knowledge,if for road maintenance, i dont know yet, because even i have no experience, they appointed me and said will send me for a course about 4 months,it cost them SGD2500,and i cant resign in 2 years,if not, need to pay penalty QUOTE(T3N5AI @ Mar 25 2013, 10:15 PM) hahaha,im already baked like a chocolate cake, lol |

anyone here want to work at Singapore as Pavement Inspector for Fong Consult Pte Ltd?directly under LTA..i just joined 2 weeks ago and they currently asking me to find more people as they need many man power for this contract..just need diploma/degree in any field(prefer civil eng),with or without experience..they are offering SGD 2000 per month,fixed..scope of job,go to LTA at 8:30am for a meeting, after finished(around 20-30minutes,u will be assign by supervisor which road u will do inspection, roughly u can finish daily schedule just in 2-3 hours, after finish,u can go home and do a report for any defect u find on the road u inspect, for a first month i think u will struggle as u still not familiar with singapore area(like me!!)
u must have a: -smartphone(if not can buy here cheaper in contract after got pass) -printer(to printout your report, suggested u use CISS one, cheaper) -camera(will be provided) -maps -laptop or PC(for a report) -fitness(some of road is too long, lol) if interested, just check this website www.fongintl.com or email this Project Manager, ka.tan@fongintl.com |
