It is hard to get a job for a audit associate position in mid tier firm in sg ?

current cgpa around 3.4 , in my last semester now and would like to work in sg.

my degree will be the bachelor in accounting , from mmu .

nopes, the legal entity is diff... u have to get from great eastern sg and it is limited to certain type of insurance only...

also, i took the job because i don't want to do sales, but the job is so easy, i think all i do is sit in the office blow aircond only. hence, only $1.6k.

i find that not having a PR status is rather hard for me to get a decent job.

S Pass minimum 2k. You need a decent job to get a PR, not the other way round. Do the job that add value to yourself if possible bah. Don't waste youth by choosing a simple one.

i beg to differ, if you got a job in SG, just set ur foot here 1st. because even you are a foreigner, Companies in Singapore prefer to hire foreigners that are working in SG compare to those that are not.
So you can work with $1.6k salary then slowly settle down in SG 1st. After you settle everything, then you can start searching for the job you desire.

i treat it as stepping stone. this admin assistant job is too easy for me.

when she interview me, she ask "you ok with the job as admin assistant?"

clearly she knows i can do better.

i just need a chance. and she say after probation and see how i do my job then will "readjust" my salary.

and they dun have anybody doing their admin job now, one of the hr person took over.

maybe i could settle a 2k job by sitting there longer a bit.

and with this stupid job i still can take my time search for a suitable job, not like now rushing to secure a good job but all want me do sales only but basic also almost never 2k.

i hope i am doing the right thing.

I don't know about PR. For S Pass they looking at basic, I tried to apply EP for my site people, he can reach EP with OT but MOM say cannot, because OT is not fix. Same for commission etc. Anyway, don't stay too long at a comfortable job when you are young. Like a frog staying in a boiling water theory. Youth is a big asset that old guy don't have anymore

i settled everything, accommodation, money, clothes, all done.

i am already in sg for nearly a month now, on and off of course.

i do hope to be able to jump to other department if got vacancy. need more luck.

anyhow, when a person got a work permit from a company,

when i get a new job next, what will happen to my work permit? do i need to reapply from the new company?
