This is what I called selfish & typical Malaysian who act like Singaporean. Then how about your parents & relatives? All of them moved to Singapore?
I know this people might be Singapore PR. But remember, you are a PR! Not a CITIZEN!
Your citizenship remain as Malaysian until you convert to be a Singaporean!
Even though you might convert your citizen, you still need to think for the future of your relatives & the new generation who are still Malaysian citizen! As long as we are the citizen, we should fulfill our duties. Is not something very difficult, is just once every 5 years. We are not doing it for outself but to our Malaysian countryman & our relatives who remain as Malaysian.
You think Singapore PAP very good? They also give away citizenship to PRC & Pinoy. These new bunch of new citizen will definitely voting for PAP! The only difference is the situation is better than Malaysia but be prepared with the new 6.9 million population!
*
Dude, how are you different? For all we know, those not going back to vote wanted to look fresh on a working Monday.
Voting or not voting is their personal choice. Not voting is also a voice. There could be a lot of reasons why people are not voting. And there's also no need to drag in Singapore.

hate east msians? no ar... hate criminals from east msia only, not all east msians...  yawn.gif
ermm, i think will contract further, low value manufacturing cannot sustain the cost in sg.. construction move away from private to public for housing... mrt projects not too bad.. hopefully construction and services can take those up  hmm.gif
well personal choice... residency and citizenship is totally diff.. some people are just ignorant... i know of singaporeans that even go vote in msia  nod.gif

Singaporean first.
Majority local bank prefer to hired local rather than a foreigner, however, if the bank think that the foreigner is really a talent then why not?
DBS CEO is also an Indian National.
*
Your statement is rather contradicting.
Every company has a hiring quota for foreign workers (WP, and S-Pass), but I don't think there's a cap on EP holders.
Of course they welcome foreigners as much as Singaporeans as long as you get your job done.
Can you state why the local banks here prefer to hire local?

If you are a local banking graduate in Malaysia & you wanted to apply banking jobs in local bank such as Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank etc...& u find out that most position 60% went to foreigners & only 40% went to local, r u pissed? Do u truly think that it is fair?
*
This view is being shared by many but there's still no basis saying the banks (employers) prefer local.

By the way, read this.

Sometimes when drawing a picture, you doesn't need to draw the picture completely for you to guess or get the message.

If you go to POSB or DBS websites to apply for job.

The requirement section always mentioned either ONLY SINGAPOREAN & PR's may apply or PREFERBLY SINGAPOREAN & PR'S.

today i butthurt.

i butthurt whole day already but now i reach home i feel lagi butthurt.

now i doing hr&admin for 1.6k

so i am doing recruitment for my company now.

there's this singaporean guy, highest qualification is secondary school. one year younger than me. work as retail and then sales coordinator. and his pay is 1.8k

i super butthurt my degree is worthless. his experience i also have. my qualification is higher. but my pay is lower because i am foreigner.

i need to do something asap

/end of rant
*
The pay scale seems about right.
You should not just look at qualification but also job scope. Your pay is lower could not be you're a foreigner but your designation.

QUOTE(xtylish @ Apr 26 2013, 08:49 AM)
i am just writing my experience in sg. sorry, not everybody is an elite here driving cars and buying properties here.

many people want to come to sg, i am just showing my part of the world.

it ain't fancy like yours, but it is real. so why not let people know it ain't going to be rosy for everybody?

so typical. kthxbai.
*
Life is not rosy for all in any part of this world. You need to eat, you hunt for food.. If you want bigger portion, you have to strive for it. Having a qualification doesn't guarantee food on the table or in your case, driving a car and buying properties. This world is tough enough without us thinking how to fail.

If you're indeed so good, but cannot seem to get a job with a package you deem appropriate. Then, whose fault is it?
