Disappointed. Outraged by the cheating. So blatant, they have no concern whatsoever if everybody knows they are cheating.

And now they blame the Chinese. A Chinese Tsunami pulak. More than before, they will turn this into a BN defender of Malays, PR pandering to Chinese who are against the Malays. Najib knows UMNO/MCA will not be able to get Chinese support ever again, no matter what. So, he's going to chart a course for Malaysia 'in spite' of the Chinese. With the civil service, army, police, GLCs and leadership of all regulated industries and professions already 100% Malay, it's merely going to require aggressive fine tuning of the current policies.

Just you watch... things will get a lot worse for the Chinese back home.

Just hope PKR can do something about this unfair GE13. a government who go against the people will is not going to last long

yea i planned to.. but from above comments all i see is they waited 2 months and no news.. i'm fresh so mayb i dont hav the qualification to join any of my desire company. but i was hoping to join a cooperate company, MNC if posible .. salary doesn't really matters as long i can get my foot in it.
*
the decision is up to you, bare in mind that even you physically in sg does not guarantee you that confirm can get an interview or job within one month, sometimes looking for job is more on timing and luck. unless like other said, you have special skill set that other does not have, then you can land a job pretty quick. the cash in part, let me do a break down for you.

first in singapore, must look for a room, one month depo + one month rental(min three month stay, one month notice)

daily expenses(include food, transport),let say you eat mixed rice, SGD3/meal, then one day assume SGD15 for food and transport given you did not anyhow go anywhere.SGD15 might be more already, but we calculate the maximum.

misc is varies from one to another, this is roughly money you need to cash out for your budget. if your financial is able to sustain you, no problem. you can come down and look for job locally.

this is just my idea for reference, not really applicable for all.

You forgot to include start-up cost. Like buying pillows, blanket, iron, ironing board, toilet paper, table fan and table lights, ketle to boil water, pots and pans to cook, cutlery, etc...unless its included in the rent or provided you bring from Malaysia. That's goona cost you at least SGD100 if not more.
*
Ya, those thing as well, not sure about the idea of coming down to sg to look for job, seem risky, but if never take the risk, you will never know the result, so is up to him to decide how he going for job hunt.

Going down to sg to look for job is risky but never try never know... just that it involve an extra month of expenses jobless lo and until i get my 1st sdg salary ..  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
I can see that you quite confident in yourself and think positive, notworthy.gif
but the thing is, we must consider the positive and negative when come to risk taking.

if you get the job in 1st month, good.
if you dont get a job in the following next 2~3 month when you are here, can your financial support your living here?here room lease term is at least 3 month, unless you want to burn your deposit, then you can leave anytime you want. can you take jobless for three month while your wallet is burning? did you think about this? hmm.gif

For me, i work in malaysia first to settle all my thing before i go to SG, then i apply job thru job market, got interview then arrange my time and go down. that the way i do it and sorry i not much a risk taker when come to financial issue.

Guys, can you really save a lot while working in SG??

If you earn 2.3k SGD. How much can you save if you only take food, rental and transport into consideration.

Can you save at least half of 2.3k?

I'm really new to this thread. Just asking around here since most of you guys are there already.

If possible, I really wanna work there after graduating in 2 years time. I just want to work there for 1 year. Really need the money
*
Friend, you are looking at thing way too far...2 years!! anything can happen in 2 years. food price go up. rental go up, job opportunity go up/down ? you never know what happen, better focus on your study first la

I understand that you want to gather info, but gathering current info to be reference after two year, then you should understand that alot might change, especially in country like SG, change even faster. like other said, you can check on first page. but saving half of your salary? even you everyday work, eat and sleep also quite difficult. shocking.gif

of course im not gonna compare it to peak.
when you wanna fly in just to attend interviews, you would pick off-peak days.

and yes the price difference isn't much.

* also, even for peak, bus tickets will be more expensive also
*
bus ticket on peak days(friday->sunday) is more expensive than normal day? hmm.gif

can you please tell me?

Foreigners are allowed to drive sg car without singapore license within the first 12 month from the date of pass issued. if you are in that period, you can drive, but after 12 month, you cant drive anymore, you need a singapore license.

check on foreigners under conversion of foreigners driving license section.
