Hi Everyone...

Soon I will be graduating from MMU & I would like to have some kind feedback from you.
Kindly let me know the following facts-

1. Which is the nearest off-campus accommodation?

2. As the MSc is for 1 year and 180 credits to finish. Is it very hard to get Masters with Distinction.

3. MMU is getting lively now a days though cyberjaya was a desert b4 . Now here got few bars, pubs and 24 hours shops too. How is there at NTT? Anything for fun? Already been bored at this place. Any party out here?

4. How long does it take to got KL from the Campus?

5. Any idea about the final Cert? Can I say like I had masters from Nottingham UK? U know what I mean....Will it be anything in cert called Malaysia campus?

6. Any other advices / tips for me

Wish we will b having some drinks / foods together. keep in touch.

Thank you everyone. Nttm rocks...

1:nearest off campus accomodation is Taman Tasik Semenyih 5, which is approximately 5mins walk to uni. However it rent is only a little cheaper than those in campus. U might wanna consider accomodation a little further away like TTS4 or TTS2.. walking distance is about 10mins+.. and much cheaper. Shuttle bus service is provided to all TTS area.

2:not sure bro.. not in the position to answer that question.. im currently in chemical engineering year 1.

3:urmm.. im pretty sure nottingham msia will not be better off than mmu in terms of entertainment outlets. It's much better off with a car here. However there's a few small bars here and a few mamaks. No 24hrs outlets tho.. unless u drive out to town which is approximately 3km away.

4:approx 45mins if u drive.. and 1hr+ by shuttle bus and public transport.

5:nope the cert wont state where u graduate from. UK cert and Msia campus cert is indistinguishable from that of UK grads.

6:get a car.. xD

Hope to see u here. Cheers bro.

Erm.. Jaden. Be very mindful of Nottingham's condition and teaching standards before coming here ya.
Apart from that, fees are relatively high as well.

Thanks. I am aware of the high fees and the condition in Nottingham. Believe it or not, the college I'm attending now is actually worse. My class has only got 4 person and the whole batch 9 person. About the teaching standard...I'll need information for that...I wonder if you know anything about the lecturers of Computer Science course?

That, please ask exPeri3nc3. *not too sure if I spelt his darn name correct lol*
Well, for foundation course, it's pretty bad. As in, the subjects they choose for you is bad. Bah.

What I've gathered from my friends in Degree is that we have decently BAD lecturers, some who don't even finish teaching their subjects and give you hellish hard UK standard questions.
Get eXP to say more.

Oh btw, one good reason why you shouldn't come here. Hate groupworks? You're gonna hate it more here. Especially when your helpful lecturers assign you to nigerians.
Food is terrible so be prepared to drive or get good friends to drive you out. But it's pretty cheap if you eat mixed rice outside.
Most people are kind, some are really b****y. Be careful with who you mix with. But you'll get to see all sorts of attitude here.

Hurm.. Should I write a review? LOL

lol. This is bad news. Are the lecturers really that bad? I mean, its okay when they don't finish lectures but are they friendly? Will they answer questions if I ask?

Well, since A-levels is fully examination-based, I don't know if I like groupworks yet. But I'm pretty sure I'll hate it when i get to group with jerks. Anyway, how is it bad that when your lecturer assign you to nigerians? They don't do their part well?

I believe the food there is terrible as many people mentioned it...anyway i wouldn't really care about that.

By the way, I'm wondering how you feel about the Uni yourself...are you enjoying the life there or you can't wait to graduate and leave?

We enjoy uni life, very slacking too. But courseworks at the wrong time, work load at times just kills even though it's not much compared to others.

Lecturer wise... I get quite a few good and bad ones... well nobody's perfect I guess.

Groupwork is actually good (for Computer Science at least). Tho I hate to admit I rather solo.

Oh no worries you WILL be complaining about the food.
It's not just terrible, but expensive as well.
Imagine getting charged RM8 for one scoop of beef + rice.
And what you get for your food? Chicken liver.. chicken bones.. Vegetable which they cook to look brown so you won't know whether it's actually rOttEn or not.
That's the campus cafe though.

Ah well.
I'm next for the defamation case. rolleyes.gif

Oh as for the Nigerians... Part? Hahahahaha.. I don't think they even know they have to do their assignment. There are a couple of good Nigerians though, especially in Biotech.

Will be back with a much thorough report and views after 1 year in the uni. Studying for exams now.

Hi guys! I finished my A-level last nov. Now waiting for sept intake to start my degree... BEng/MEng Mechanical Engineering. Any comment about this course? Is any one here studying this course or anyone have a friend in this course? I would like to know how's the lecturer are and the learning environment there...

Talking about group work.... I have had many experience where it suppose to be a group work... But, finally end up to be work for 2-3 people only.... (the group contain about 5-8 people) I wonder if it happens in UNIMKL?
