i think no mf sharing is better, because before the penalty was too high because co-op was never an option because it was a huge detriment for mf farmers.
But with the addition of paragorn 100, and no mf Sharing, CO OP is in fact a very attractive option because you can clear areas faster.
The only thing that hasn't changed is the fact some people like myself now screen who is geared for co op partnering with aka who pulls 200k+ and who are still lowbies still doing 80k.

sometimes i think the game is playing mind games with us. initially my character slots are full with dex based characters, and that time the gears drop sux even with mf gears. up to 1.0.6 most of the drops were str based: fist weapon with high str, belts with high str, socket chest piece with str and for that reason conrad (the templar) actually has higher dps than my monk.
few weeks after the both me n my brother decided it's time to ditch his wizzie, pull aside dh and monk to switch to barbs (cuz ww barbs can virtually travel anywhere, if they can generate enuf rage). we rolled a simple barb, tried to prep gears and... int gears rained...
if Monster Hunter is a material gathering troll game, D3 is a gear drop troll game...
