Hi guys, I'm just starting out investing in funds. What are some good ones to get a conservative 5-10% a year? I'm looking for low risk ones to beat fixed deposits.

Anybody tried selling before? They just transfer to your designated bank account after a few days?

Just tried paying using CIMB this time. Usually I do it with Maybank2u and need to fill up and e-mail them their bank-in slip. CIMB no need?

For funds with exit fee under 1 year, how does that count for new top up funds? Are the new top up funds needed to be kept for 1 year or count as same date as initial investment?

Yes, they track by top ups if I'm not mistaken.

Track by top ups? Means the 1 year period with exit fee duration is reset again and gotta wait 1 year to withdraw or not will be charged?

The thing is they have this profit sharing scheme. If not mistaken is 15% of the profit that u earn goes into them.
*
15%? That's alot. I only see that for the Islamic fund though. How about RHB Bond Fund?

With profit sharing, there will be no management fee. Means tha if the fund losing money, they get zero.

Let's say a typical bond fund return, 1 year 5%. 15% is only 0.75%/ I'd say better than u paying 1% annual management fee whether profit or loss...
*
So it's 15% on the profit charged. Seems decent for RHB Islamic Bond Fund if they achieved 9-10% for the past 5 years? That's FSM Bid to Bid calculations though. Not sure if they took out that 15% fee already or not.

All fees are already deducted in arriving at the NAV price.

That's some pretty good returns then for a Bond fund!
