Hi, I'm a newbie in fund investing. I just opened an account with FSM.
Under Fund Charges section, there is "Fundsupermart's Discounted Initial Sales Charge" 1.5%. I'm confused with the word "initial" there. Is there a different sales charge for subsequent purchase of the same fund?

For example, when I purchase RM10,000 for the first time, my investment amount is 10000/1.015= 9852.216. Subsequent, when I top-top another RM10,000, how much is my investment amount? RM10,000?

It's in the fund information page. I think all funds also have this section.

Thanks for the clarification, Pink Spider. So instead of spending RM10,000 upfront, seems like it's better for me to invest e.g RM2,000 five times over a period of one/two weeks to average out the NAV Price?

I'm looking at the following funds (25% for each fund):
ALLIANCE GLOBAL EQUITIES FUND
Hwang Select Asia (Ex Japan) Quantum Fund
HWANG SELECT BOND FUND
local/asian bond fund -> any recommendation?

Do you think my portfolio is diversify enough? I'm currently also holding a few stocks in KLSE so not interested in local equity fund.

Ooh, just ignore the "initial". It's the same whether initial or subsequent purchase.

Hi Pink Spider. Can you explain why the 3pm cut-off time is critical? From my understanding, units purchased today are not based on today's NAV price. The price will be Monday's price right?

Thanks for the info Kaka. No wonder it's a good time to top-up. I wanted to do so this morning but procrastinated. Now too late.
