Erm, how do i make a picture (let's say, a poster) to looks like it is being fold?

Well picture speaks a thousand word (couldn't find a good example in google..so i had to take the photo myself)

Did you mean something like this..? like the graphic trend you see on some websites..?

Updated: Forgot to add the important shadow underneath the paper. LoL!

Anyway, here's a PSD file though the stuff I used to create such an effect was:

- Pen Tool.
- Gradient.
- Masking. (for your hand)

ok it simple..

Fill with the Background in Black..
Create a new layer..(Fill with watever color Beside Black)
using ur polygonal lasso tool..
to cut a Triangle shape.in the top right of the corner..after
Edit->Cut
Create a new layer again..
Ctrl+V to ur new layer (Notice:at tis moment..u see nothing)

To ur Blending Mode~>
Set OuterGlow
Blend mode:Normal
Color:Black
Opacity:85
Spread: 7
Size:6
(u can play with ur own,if u dont inssit to follow)

after here come out with another Triangle layout,at the previos wat u did..
here go Edit~>Transform~>Rotate 180

here u know wat to do..just move to the other side..
here come my result!

draw a triangle on a new layer, fill it with a colour and delete the selection on your background layer.
Then Free Transform it, right click on it and select "Warp".

this is the evil way....

Use Kai's power tools plug-in easier

I don't really have time at the moment to come up with an actual tutorial so the best i can do now is explain using words until someone or myself uploads images.

1. Create New Layer.
2. Use the Pen Tool and create the fold.
3. Right+Click and select Make Selection.
4. Fill the selection with white if you want the bottom of the paper to be that color.
5. With the selection still there, create Another New Layer.
6. Choose the Brush (make sure it's the soft edge type) or the Gradient tool (Solid to Transparent).
7. Where the straight line is located nearer to the corner, you'll need to make a 'shadow' there using either the Brush or Gradient tool. Your image was a good reference for lighting.
8. Deselect the selection.
9. Now that you know where your fold is, you take your Pen Tool or Lasso Tool and select the excessive area you'd like to hide to create the fold. In this case, it's the corner area there.
10. After the selection is made you either Deleter or use the Mask on the real image and hide that part just in case you'd like to use it for something else.
11. Deselect after you're done.
12. Create Another New Layer and Move this layer beneath the actual image.
13. Use the Brush or Gradient tool again and make the needed shadow from the straight line nearer towards the corner. What you're trying to do is mimic the shadow beneath the paper.

I know it sounds confusing but I don't have the time to do the screenshots at the moment or create a better tutorial so I hope this'll help you make your way.

well, my first try... the fold looks a bit fake though.... Gonna try to improve my brush skill (although it is impossible due to my mouse keep mobing by itself )

Will try to improve what i can do... prefer to do it manually than using plug-in

doing manually..is a best ways u can improved ur photoshop skills..

keep it on!

but sometimes..u need to use some plug in for some nice effect adjustment.

where to find/download plug in? any link?

Warp tool is at potochop cs2 new feature i guess
