I use pureview mode only in certain situation but most of what u see in this thread are taken at full resolution

you can try lock to focus.

Two method half click the shutter button focus at something then only go back focus at the thing you want.

Or like sifu kinabalu said touch focus then click

HTC One just marketing gimic performance worse than my 2010 Nokia N8

Its the only phone that have 41 Megapixels and with the biggest sensor size ever on a mobile phone 1/1.2

low light htc one seems to be okay in 4R.
