Hi all, i recently had a kitchen makeover replacing the kitchen cabinets & shifting a couple of electrical outlets. Existing walls are tiled so the part between countertop & wall cabinet looks really ugly right now.

I am thinking of putting a color glass backsplash or stainless steel panel (whichever is cheaper) directly over the existing tiled wall as hacking off the tiles would mean a lot of mess.

Anybody here has contact for color-glass/stainless-steel backsplash installer in Penang?

bugijun, my cabinet uses melamine with quartz countertop.

Anybody else out there with ideas on kitchen wall panel/backsplash?

I am also considering the idea of DIYing tile over tile, wanted to save cost.

IKEA kitchen backsplash is relatively cheap but not really add to beautify the kitchen.

Any one knows how much glass kote costs psf? What about the cost of other unbranded glass backsplash?

When it comes to kitchen backsplash I really like mosaic kitchen backsplas, it looks great in any kitchen. Their greatest advantage is that it can be custom designed for your specific wall. I bought glass mosaic for my backsplash adn I must admit that its easy to maintain that part of wall. You can find may ideas for your mosaic on http://www.mozaico.net/kitchen-backsplash-mosaics-23.aspx .
