You can get the clay from Osren too, or soft99 would do. But for the compound/polish, I'd suggest getting the Megs Twin (Megs Ultimate Compound & Ultimate Polish) as Osrens compounds/polishes are more geared towards machine/rotary use.

Note: I have a feeling that there's something I've missed out on the above....just can't put my finger on it.... unsure.gif  unsure.gif  unsure.gif

actually... for a new car... should one get everything from osren... wanted to buy the bubble and wax from them...

one question... actually i was looking at meguairs product as well..

should i buy the wash mitt, water magnet, microfiber cloth, and ultimate wax from them or just buy everything from osren?

and what is the difference between a sealant and wax? is both needed or either one... i googled it a bit but the definition is a bit murky....

i read about it online. its a system where you wash your car using two different buckets; one for your washing bucket (water+shampoo), another is for clean water. first, you dip your sponge/wash cloth into washing bucket, then apply them to your car. then after that, before you re-dip the sponge/cloth back to the washing bucket, you have to rinse it first with clean water from another bucket. this is to remove all dirts that collected by the sponge/cloth before you continue.
bro, can you suggets to us new-car-owners for the items you listed.

4. All purpose cleaner for wheels, interior, etc.
5. Wax/sealant or Spray wax/sealant
6. Applicator for wax/sealant
7. Some general purpose microfiber cloths
8. Dressings for the wheels, exterior plastics, etc.

because there are many products in store, so maybe you have ur personal preference?  smile.gif

p/s: my car's colour is solid white. is there any special products that i have to use to maintain / improve the quality?  sweat.gif

is a two bucket system better or the grit guard thing better? the two bucket won't be able to get the fine stuff off the wash mitt right....

can buy mix and match...no need eveything from osren or mcguairs one. i am using their bubble wash. the cloth from osren is ok.
what you recommend from meguairs...

initially thought to get the new car kit, water magnet and the microfibre cloth... but after seeing the price.. sort of 50-50 now..

damn... this detailing shit is harder than maintaining the car itself man....

osren = cheap and cheerful.

megs if you can get from the right person/bulk/gallon etc then it's actually cheap while offering good performance/results. FYI megs are your "everyday"/mainstream product overseas while only in Malaysia it's marketed as premium.

if anything (assuming you can afford/within budget), meguiar's stuff will work.

sealant is generally synthetic based, typically last longer.
some waxes have natural ingredients such as carnauba, and they tend to offer better shine/gloss/beading etc. usually they don't last as long compared to sealant more so on our malaysian weather with constant sun/rain.

both 2 bucket + grit guard = better.
if you're OCD, you can consider 3 buckets + stacked multi layer grit guards rolleyes.gif
that's good advice... yeah, i noticed those stuff is crazy expensive here...so, i might just buy some of the stuff from them since it is still quite acceptable to me...

Haha, 10-year-old car can be your test ground to practice first before applying the technique to your new car.  biggrin.gif

I don't do everything in 1 day though.
It takes a few days biggrin.gif
that is if you don't need to drive your car...

5 hours to clay, polish and wax is considered fast lo  ....  laugh.gif

I need
1.5 hours to wash
1.5 hours to clay
1.5 hours for paint cleaning
1.5 hours to polish/glaze
1.5 hours to wax
my patience is like the fuse of a dynamite... i'll never live through that...
