Hello folks, just wondering, the black plastic trim on my car is starting to look very dirty and contaminated after 5 years lol, any idea to restore/clean it?

Get a toothbrush (for intricate/small areas) or a shoe brush (for larger areas) and lightly scrub them with an all purpose cleaner, very light dilution of dishwashing detergent, or the like. Rinse them thoroughly and apply some trim/plastic dressing of your choice. Oh...and try not to let the apc/detergent/etc. dwell for too long or dry on the paintwork.

Actually tried that, multipurpose detergent but unfortunately didn't work D:
There are some white marks, I think it's the wax :/

Sigh my family didn't take good care of the car when I was oversea..

hrrmm....aren't those coated plastic? Do you have any paint cleaner/AIO/light polish to try? Lightly though...could be oxidation....

Now that you mentioned paint, I'm thinking of sanding it down and spray a matte clear coat over it..lol

The AutoGlym chamois is awesome as hell though, been using it for 5 years already, still working good lol, regular wear and tear but it's still absorbing water effectively. Eneos is selling it for RM100 something, but definitely worth the investment.

I am officially shocked at the prices of Meguiar's products in ACE Hardware.

Big price gap between their products and Turtle Wax!

You might want to check Amazon.us for bigger shocks then.
