May I know how frequent should we polish our car? Using Meguiars Ultimate Polish. I'm thinking of doing so once a month and followed by waxing after polishing, but my old folks are claiming that the paint will get thin. Will the paint really get thin when polishing too much?

Presuming you're working by hand, you would hardly remove much clear coat....quite safe if you do every month. Just that I can't think of any condition whereby you would need to polish every month. Maybe you should try waxing every month and polishing every three months or so instead.

Thanks sifu. I was thinking of polish + wax every month haha. So I will proceed with your advice biggrin.gif

So Meg is not the only good product out there, previously I thought Meg is very good, thus all products I bought are Megs.

Between DG 105 and DG 501, which is more recommended? I am currently using Meg White Wax but since it is a carnauba wax, the wax gone off pretty quick, like within 2 weeks, especially these few weeks keep raining almost everyday. The shine is great but protection wise, it is gone too fast already. I'm thinking to change to sealant.

DG105 is a sealant.
DG501 is an AIO - paint cleaner and sealant.

DG105 don't have much cleaning/polishing properties
DG501 can do a little cleaning/very mild defects removal

DG105 protection last a little longer
DG501 protection last quite decent also, but not as long as DG105

If you're looking for a sealant without any defects/contaminant removing capabilities - DG105
If you're looking for removing some contaminants/very mild defects while putting down a decent layer of protection as well - DG501

If you're undecided - GET BOTH cuz they're both great products and good value for money....hahahaha.....

Thanks sifu KrisMas. I will get DG105 + DG951(as top up) then. I just need a longer lasting sealant.

Yeah, I actually noticed that Meg White wax has some cleaner element inside, but not too strong. The problem is that it goes off like after 1.5 weeks under the recent KL weather.
