Carpro is impossible to sell to customer, because the distributor just won't do it.

Last last, they will ask you to go to their car wash shop to be done by them...after on the phone for 5 minutes...

I feel like telling them, if I want to bring the car to the shop, why I need to call you?? (Get the hint??)

seems like it's a stand alone more than a topper? would it be a waste if i top it over something like megs ultimate liquid wax? (carpro advises not to have wax underneath though)

Yup Reload should mostly be a standalone accept when using Cquartz then it can be a topper. It won't last long and would only be a waste to top over the Megs wax but it won't harm anything if you decide to do it.
*
i see, much thanks for the input.
so what the longest lasting duration you think reload can go? have you tried topping over it? (eg: wax, or other spray waxes) would topping over it improves it's durability?

Nope haven't tried topping over it. No idea on the durability as I never left it on my car long enough. Longest is probably a month before I applied something else laugh.gif
*
wa so rajin laugh.gif
maybe i'll reserve the spray sealant for my iswara since it does have some troublesome curves/trims that could damage my new foam pads lol

and just standalone application for it

actually... for a new car... should one get everything from osren... wanted to buy the bubble and wax from them...

one question... actually i was looking at meguairs product as well..

should i buy the wash mitt, water magnet, microfiber cloth, and ultimate wax from them or just buy everything from osren?

and what is the difference between a sealant and wax? is both needed or either one... i googled it a bit but the definition is a bit murky....
is a two bucket system better or the grit guard thing better? the two bucket won't be able to get the fine stuff off the wash mitt right....
*
osren = cheap and cheerful.

megs if you can get from the right person/bulk/gallon etc then it's actually cheap while offering good performance/results. FYI megs are your "everyday"/mainstream product overseas while only in Malaysia it's marketed as premium.

if anything (assuming you can afford/within budget), meguiar's stuff will work.

sealant is generally synthetic based, typically last longer.
some waxes have natural ingredients such as carnauba, and they tend to offer better shine/gloss/beading etc. usually they don't last as long compared to sealant more so on our malaysian weather with constant sun/rain.

both 2 bucket + grit guard = better.
if you're OCD, you can consider 3 buckets + stacked multi layer grit guards rolleyes.gif

Am using Turtlewax spray wax on my black myvi...Somehow I see there are visible oily look like petrol pouring onto water after application of the wax. Moreover portion of the paint has became matte lok instead of metalic look. Do I using the wrong wax or anything went wrong with my wax? Please suggest easy apply wax with glossy look for black car.
Sifus, any comment?
*
have you followed the instructions clearly? it is most likely fault/issue with how you applied it.

also, is the surface clean when you applied it?

now my question is, do I need a DA polisher with fine finishing pad to remove micro marring, scratches, holograms left from the rotary ? rclxub.gif I think holograms gonna surface after the compounds, It is a black finish car
*
if you're good enough with the rotary, only need to change to finer/softer pads.

QUOTE(y4ng @ Nov 16 2013, 10:35 PM)
wait, i was looking through videos online...do i really need to sand to remove light scratches? or does compound does the work? think proton's paint a bit tofu so scared
*
depends on how deep the scratches are.

if you're not confident, go with milder abrasives then increase it's aggressiveness if it does not work

and one more thing. How to clean brake dust effectively ?  I've tried OPC 1:7, no hopes. Then 1:3 , agitate 5 minutes, I can see some brake dust dissolve, but they are still there  rclxub.gif ! The brown stains ! I've tried to seek answer in autogeek, like TrixX, Tarminator, P21S and blah blah. Unfortunately our Msia car detailing market is very small, I only can find Meg WB, Sonax full effect. Which product that you come across that do best at cleaning brake dust ?
*
brake dust? easily sonax xtreme wheal cleaner plus full effect.

regular maintenance maybe diluted megs wheel brightener in gallon (Cheaper tongue.gif)

i'll be trying out iron x which is said to be stronger than sonax so eh... hehe

dude, please give us some review when you get it  notworthy.gif
*
unless you're some track driver or having some really bad rotor/brake pads, sonax or meguiars are more than enough lol.

carpro's iron x is even more expensive than sonax mind you.
and chances are you either import, or get from Singapore like i did lol

if you're lazy, just have good LSP.

my car for YEARS also never had to deal with watermarks :/

remember: prevention > removal/restoration (eg: watermark removal, polishing etc)

It's not really as advertised lol
Result depends heavily on damaged surface area and your application skill

finishing wont be nice. if your base coat metallic or require 2 application base coat, sure will mess up.
