tried yesterday sad.gif

damn this bird shit !

why are you claying with wax? wax is not supposed to clean bird poop.

what clay are you using anyway? sounds like the clay is not doing its job. you should not waste your clear coat for bird poop by compounding/polishing them :/

ok this may be a bit late but i did managed to get confirmation from Meg's on whether UQD is able to remove LSP as it contains IPA. Short answer, No. but Meg's did mentioned that we're not suppose to use UQD as a booster. I've been using it wrong all this while blink.gif blush.gif  Anyway something new for me, UQW as a drying aid tongue.gif i thought only DG951 is up for this task.

more details below, from their Internet Technical Specialist himself smile.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So from today now onwards, the UQD will go into my car to be used as a QD for bird dropping, tree sap, fingerprints and what not. Need to order 1 gallon of D156 as well biggrin.gif
*
and that's why i bought the UQW tongue.gif

for D156 you're referring to UQW in a gallon? got a confirmation from megs as well on it's functionality/purpose? or they are exactly the same product just with different packaging.

ps: id rather just keep my UQD (or atm still on TW platinum, not yet finish) at home since if i leave it in the car, it'll probably evaporate (remember the IPA? tongue.gif )little by little under heat as i tend to park the car outdoors all the time. glove compartment also no more space sweat.gif (too many gadgets and too small a compartment lol)

i think if you can deal with whatever droppings etc within a day, it should be fine especially when you already have good lsp to protect smile.gif

not professional in this sad.gif

using clay from P&g.. but guess the stain was really sticked under the clear coat..

tried with some wax/ polish cream with pressure but still there.. icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif
*
no need pro la.

it's clear that PG clay suck. (read back some pages i remember there are people commented about it, or was it v1 thread? iinm mywifecar used and commented before)
again, try using car shampoo as clay lube, with 1:1 or 1:2 shampoo:water dilution (at least also some decent shampoo, like kura kura f21 or osren/duragloss lol)

do not use wax/polish cream for bird droppings, and most certainly do not apply pressure. if there's one thing in detailing i learn (in a hardway), that is if you're unsure about anything, do NOT apply pressure.

oh bro, speaks that aside, i got myself the liquid wax months ago from tw,

do not apply with pressure also? i mean when cleaning.. as noticed that if no pressure, residue will leave over there..
*
just try the steps i mentioned, and use water rinse off and dry whatever water that's left.

and again, don't need wax.
wax is AFTER you're done removing that bird dropping.

but what i mean was that on normal liquid wax process (assume there's no bird poop anymore) tongue.gif

as instruction was that :
1. apply on and wait 1 minit
2. wipe with cloth

on step 2, do i need to wipe with pressure? as i notice if normal wipe the wax residue will be still there

sorry if i confused u laugh.gif
*
this?
http://www.turtlewax.com/product-detail.as...id=42&prodid=44

dry to haze only, no need wait a minute. considering our malaysian hot weather and assuming you're doing this daytime, it takes around/less than a minute to haze. by the time you're done on the 2nd panel the first would be hazed up already.

you can apply light pressure, remove residue, and flip another clean/cleaner side to buff to a shine. if you're not used to flipping/folding cloth, have 2 MF cloths then: 1 to remove excess wax, the other for a shining buff.

if it still leaves wax residue or buffing off is hard (TW hard shell basic wax tends to do that), you may consider having a spray bottle beside with water or as i mentioned with the dual cloth, have the 1st cloth slightly damp and that will ease on removing residues smile.gif

http://www.turtlewax.com/detail-ICE%20Liqu...0Wax-42-88.aspx

neh:
- Fold and quarter the microfiber cloth, using one side to remove wax from the car’s finish. Turn cloth over and wipe to a high gloss shine.
- If necessary, use a damp microfiber towel to remove excess wax and buff lightly with a dry microfiber towel.

oh my god he said polish...

i really hate TW naming/terms lol

(LOL The top comment on that youtube)

same formulation, just different scent. i guess they think the pro guys do not like fruity scent? biggrin.gif it was not mentioned anywhere, but the internet technical specialist told me so.., refer to previous post. smile.gif
*
oh i read your previous post; just slightly skeptical since they aren't exactly the same product.

i guess it's just the added fruity scent huh? laugh.gif
(or the fruity scent is added on, and pro guys aka purist thinks that may compromise the result? tongue.gif )

oh.. dont get me wrong.. i think it still has a nice scent.. just not as fruity as the UQW, which smells amazing! i think the D156's smell will be a little close to UQD instead..
*
haha im not too particular with the smell so long it does exactly the same, if not better.

heck im ok with the sonax wheel cleaner remember? tongue.gif

=edit=
just read, and lol:

Yes, same product. The scent change addresses a general consensus in the pro industry regarding strongly scented products.

Hrrmm...is that rust? Iron remover.....?
D156 is the pro version of UQW, same product tweeked for the pros. Might not be identical but, normally, I found that their performace/usage is better as compared to the consumer version as they don't have to worry about the average Joe goofing up the usage and taking advantage of the 'satisfaction guarantee or your money back' thingy that they have over there....oh...and not to mention far far cheaper....hahaha....
*
hehe thanks for the confirmation sifu notworthy.gif

btw he mentioned it was bird dropping, should be ez job no need sanding right? rclxub.gif
