Sorry, I haven't. But, for the life of me, I think I've seen it before but just can't remember where or when.

Anyway, for tyres, I did get the opportunity to try a sample of this a few years back:

http://www.soft99.co.jp/english/products/c....html?pid=02082

It did last for quite a few MONTHS (lots of them actually) and all it needed was just a PW wash to get it back looking clean again. I would love to get my hand on it but, unfortunately, not able to find it anywhere outside of Japan. If any of you guys can find it, do tell ya.....

Sonax Wheel Cleaner is labeled as a PH-neutral wheel cleaner that's safe on all kind of wheels. With it's iron removing properties, is it safe to be use on body paint like how Iron X is used? hmm.gif

no idea, it looks like they don't sell directly from their site, need to look around for their appointed distro/retailers

Ahhhh....Enviro-Shield. Haven't used that in years. I think still have some left in my bottle....

I've used Enviro-Shield, Opti Seal and Zaino Clear Seal before. They are kinda similar in nature (WOWA - Wipe On Walk Away) but each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Anything in particular you want to know?

wafak you even have those LOL!

umm how is the price vs performance ratio? i don't particularly need WOWO products since my rims are off my car and i have AMPLE of time/flexibility in applying product, so i am looking for something that lasts longer and i don't think WOWO is the answer.

what about
- gloss
- beading/water repellent (i guess surface friction/strength co efficient? this probably also determines how well brake dust shrugs off)
- application (ease of it? would you have to sacrifice microfiber cloths? i know some coating/sealant product will harden and thus rendering your MF cloth dead after application/buffing off)
- durability
- heat resistance coinsidering they are for rims

Yeah...quite a few years ago when WOWA (not WOWO) were the 'trend'.

urrmm...I guess you're talking about the NanoGlass then. Sorry, haven't tried that one. Wanted to until I found out that....let's just say it's not really a true coating per se.... whistling.gif

Anybody here know whether the clear coat used on the car body is any different from those on wheels? I'm also interested to know. I think if somebody really knowlegeable can answer this then the above would be quite clear.

A word of caution to those planning to get their hands on the tyre clear coat. Your tyres needs to be very very clean before applying the dressing. Check out the Autogeek thread below.

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/produc...-tuf-shine.html

To get your tyres spotless before applying dressing, I use Westley's Bleche-Wite which can be found at Ace Hardware for RM23. Works even better than Optimum Power Clean at 1:3 when cleaning tyres.

After some searching, found a guy who used it on paint with decent result and no harm done to the paint. However it was found that its iron removing ability isn't as strong as Iron X so the Sonax Wheel Cleaner isn't exactly the best thing to use to decon the paint. Sticking to Iron X then for body surface laugh.gif
