@tvcat - my budget is around 1.5k - 2k for the whole bike. i will just use the bike to roam around KL since there are no nearby trails here at my place.

And my curent project is getting my Jamis Durango upgraded to tarmac spec Just need new pedals, slicks, grips and new saddle! sweet!

good day today! rode 33.33 km today from my house to frim, rover trail to sg buloh gardens and back. My Anthem felt sweet and fast.

for your information, Rover track cyclist already banned! Saturday I went there got 1 uncle point the signboard to us mention now cyclist not allow.the sign just beside the toilet.

I suspect those uncle or auntie make noise to the FRIM management, so they decide put the cyclist no entry sign. the tarmac road near the lake garden also not allow to passby.

Then the other side on way to steroid hill, no joggers allowed right? We should point finger on signboard in case we see any joggers  Think problem is I do see some cyclist going down Rover too fast and scaring off some joggers/hikers.

banned us cycling up Rover track is not a good solution. anybody represent us talk to the FRIM management like do a cycle Lane for us since the track is so wide..haha! this trail good for cuci mata..LOL

what is the weight range for light weight allu mtb frame?

1.6kg is it consider light weight?

or anything below 1.4kg is light weight?

there is alot of brands, allen, bnb, saris, thule and etc. just visit any lbs and see if the price is right for you
they all basically works the same, the rack foot just rest behind the car boot/door and the bike hang onto it; bike sometimes swing.  so u need to secure it properly. some modern bike frame especially full suspension bike with non conventional frame might not work so well.

i personally use roof rack. most secure and stable imo. just need to make sure you dont bang your bike over tols or your house car porch
