His cost may be lower than rm8, but the cable quality matters. I have seen low quality welding cable before and those things are just to brittle. The performance will degrade faster in long run.

my uncle is a welder... low quality welding cable cant withstand heat and will MELT during welding operation. i saw his is the black sipek thick n it is more than RM20 per 10 feet or so...orange he got use also...never complain for minor minor welding at ppl in house minor job.lighter ma orange color eh...put in motor including small sized welding machine wont burden his motor...

dont worry... remember i told u about the welding cable that contain aluminium more than copper ingredient inside the orange skin ? he might get the same result for the first few days but after that the cable is just wasted cause all the aluminium will just become powder...
