It's according to year MAKE not register. Insurance rate is regulated in Malaysia, if 1 quoted you cheaper, another more expansive, the different IS definitely on the total amount of coverage. For example, bank quote you 1.1k premium because they insured 20k for you, whereas car dealer may be only quote you 19k for RM900. If ayam not mistaken, your car is FLX CVT Exec, meaning your minimum coverage should between 30k ~ 35k. Which directly translate your premium as RM990 for 30k, or RM1100 for 35k. Meaning that to say, the BANK is honest, giving you full insured value. Incase if you crash your car you no need to pay for under insured due to average clause. Don't ask me why, I've already explained earlier. More reading at below links:

mine manual. and the bank stated my car price is 32k. if i go by myself i can insure 34.5k with the price of my car dealer after i checked the online insurance calculator. hurm. maybe i should go by myself. since later i can keep the geran.
