I used my nexus 4 for 10 days and im very satisfied with it. Far more improvements and lag-ness free if compared to my last phone, i try to install only useful apps and not "over-utilising" my phone, i know it does multitasking, but not as strong as pc, so i will close whatever apps that i seldom use after i open them.

Battery is an issue on most android phones, unless our phone have higher battery capacity like note 2. However, it will depends on how you use your phone too.

For me, most of the time, im at college, thus battery is an important thing i care about, i seldom play games on my phone, prefer pc or console gaming. But i do rely on my phone for updating news and socialize with my friends and family. I will switch off my 3g and wifi whenever i dont need them. Its very tiring to do it, but this is the only way to conserve the battery, my daily usage is around 70-80%, battery is still enough for me.

I can suggest to buy a power bank, it may not be a complete solution and some of it are bulky to carry, but it is indeed useful if you cant charge your phone away from your home and when emergency time comes, its still worthwhile for such investment. Its a bonus, if you have other devices like ipad, tablets, psp, psvita etc, its a monster charger. smile.gif

I face a wifi problem with my wifi.

My situation is like this,

Recently i moved from my house to my uncle house in other city to further my studies

I got no issue with my wifi over my home, asus modem.

But once i moved to the new place, with streamy d-link modem, i got wifi issue, my nexus can detect wifi, connect to it, but the speed slows like snail, sometimes the wifi connection seems not broadcasting, i tested the wifi with my laptop and other devices like ipad no issue at all.

I googled and found that it is common among some nexus users, some blaming about the modem, stating that the wireless channel problem, some suggest that to switch a brand new modem or disable the WPA security thingy. I tried all but non work.

I just want to ask anyone facing the same issue here?

is there anyway to reduce the heat?

Feel the same. Especially when i turn on 3G and using it heavily to browse internet apps.

But no heat issue over using wifi, haven test it with gaming becoz i seldom use phone to play graphic demanding games.

@RcykZai
i got no wifi problem, had you try reboot the phone?
*
Yup reboot my phone problem still exists, nvm i think i will try different modem, maybe i will go over my frens house and test the connection.

For the heat issue, i dont feel comfortable with the heat, its like really hot if compare to other android phones i used previously, i can feel it specially near nexus wording area at the back of the phone, what about casing? i haven try out with casing, guess the heat wont blown off the cpu, lol.

I wonder if you still feel warm by putting on casing or the heat will get worst cause it will be trapped inside case cover.

Experiencing slow WiFi network on Android JB 4.2.2. I am having a 4 mbps Internet, but downloading apps and etc showing quite slow network.. Is this a bug or what?
*
Maybe u need to reset modem wireless channel or try to use different modem.

I also experience the same thing, when i use streamyx provided innacomm modem, my connection was like snail, even opening google page need load half a day. The wifi status bar is always in grey, even im near to my modem.

I have no issue with using laptops, and other devices, just my nexus 4. i googled many websites, many users are reporting this issue specially for nexus 4, more blaming to the modem itself. some suggest to switch wireless channel, or QoS, but the ultimate solution is to change modem.

I bought tp-link modem yesterday night and after having setup internet connection, my nexus 4 works like a charm, smooth internet browsing, so i guess is the modem problem itself.
