WMC looks nice and all, but functionality and format wise, XBMC beats it hands down... It works well with standard files (divx and all) on normal resolution, but once you go HD, xbox will show its age. Freaking laggy up to a point where it's not watchable.
Planning to get a TV soon, so media center setup is a must. I've tried transcode360 but the quality of the video seems to dip a little.
Heard about TVersity, how's the quality like?
Maybe I should stick with Xbox 1 for now eh?

What kinda error? I just tried TVersity, works fine over here.
Just make sure you set the user accounts properly for the service. It's one of the things you gotta do on the website. Once I did that, it works.
Too bad, it's still transcoding from the PC, hence, a some quality drop.

It looks pretty much like the standard MC screen for Windows. The Vista version looks slightly better. Vista's a bit too sluggish for me, so now I'm back on XP. I use TVersity now. Not that popular around here I guess.

The cumulative patch works just fine here. Too bad the current MCE has less features compared to what they've released with the last Spring Update. Any news whether there will be an update?

QUOTE(leenaz @ May 29 2007, 09:00 PM) i used zune.. but then how to stream video did i need to transfer all my filr to my document?? Zune's the best choice for Microsoft based solution at the moment because mp4, mov and such will be displayed as well. You do not need to transfer. Just add all the folders you want listed from Zune player. Click on Options | Add Folder to Library. Or, you can just press F3 and the dialog will appear.
