Just to add. You can customise the quality setting for Transcode360. With Beta 4 you also have to option to choose between different encoders. But you have to try it out and see which works the best for you.

got astro EPG also whats the point? the MCE can't interact with astro decoder directly... the most u can get is video-in via composite/s-video only. and MCE can't even change the astro channel for u, so no automatic record. even if u hookup digital/analog tuner card also, still useless.... and no, u wont get fancy multiple small box channel preview from MCE, just single channel at a time from astro

You can change channel if you have IR Blaster (some MCE capture cards comes with it).
I wrote a little program that rips the listings from Astro's website and export it to XML. From there you can use a number of programs to import the listings into MCE EPG.

Are you using Wifi connection? If so check the channel and see if anyone else using the same channel.

I suspect it's more of a processor bottleneck rather than RAM.

Get it from Vertex at Lowyat. The remote control by itself you probably need to order. If you buy any of the Hauppage MCE kit tuners it'll come with it.

Yup. Can. Follow terrencey's guide to get the EPG working. You'll need an IR blaster too (comes with some TV Tuner cards).

You can select from the EPG, provided you've already configured the EPG before hand.
