Always wait for sales discount. It happens every few weeks.
There's really only two tabs that is almost mandatory:
a, 1x Currency Tab … as the name implies, it stores currencies / orb. There are tons of them in PoE. Also allows storing other small item in bottom slots.
b, 1x Premium Tab … allows for easy trading. If you decide to play strictly as SSF mode (solo-self found), then you won't need this since you can't trade or interact with anyone.

Those two, during discount should cost less than USD$10.
If you want to save money, additional tabs can just buy regular tabs - the downside of regular tab is cannot change color and name, so you gotta deal with just the default numbers.

Other type of tabs? Can't say they actually worth the money. Depend on your spending and inventory management skill.

As Jim mentioned the "60+30+10" for $10, that usually a good start.
Bundle is nice, if you really feels the need for more space.

If you want to consider bundle, $20 can get Currency (60pt) + 1 premium (30pt) + 1 normal stash bundle of 6 tabs (110pt).
This is pretty much enough to play... forever.
Unless you become super hardcore, or if you decide to stick to "Standard League" and hoard items.
Temporary League resets every 3 months, so that amount of tabs are more then enough for regular play.

Most other tabs really are just luxury; essence, fragment, card...
These items really only take up space of half a normal tab, yet their own unique tab costs a lot more than a normal tab.
If you good with management, you don't need these.

Map tab, you can consider it after hitting end game. I do fine with just 2 regular tab for map storage; that just 40pt, instead of paying 120pt for specific map tab (sure, they do store a lot more "maps", if you have that much of them to begin with).

Supporter packs are nice way to get extra goodies, if you want them.
They are all cosmetics so up to you.

If your build do not have any method to immune to reflect, simply re-roll the map

starting quite late. Wasn't really sure want to play or not.
trying out Phox RF, since I never really tried RF before. Also playing SSF, don't feels like trading.

thought so far:
- unique still drops like rain, doesn't feels like nerfed at all
- WAIT WHAT WE HAVE ITEMS TO ROLL CORRUPTED ITEM NOW?! LOL...
- those new harvest crafting costs seems ridiculously steep...

the good stuff is a the maps
