This game can be overwhelming to understand.
I'm building summon skeleton mage necro, but there isn't anything on youtube that guides me from beginner level.
Even those so-called beginner's guide suddenly have tabula rasa which I can't find anywhere sold by npc.

Path of building; do you mean my passive tree build? Well, yes. I manage to copy some optimal necromancer build out there. I used to stack lots of energy shield, but now focusing more on life instead.

I'm still using absolution since I started up until now at level 60, but I probably use it wrong. Mostly I spam it on bosses because my minions one shot everything before I could do a single absolution hit. At the moment, I'm fairly ok with my current build.

But how do people farm chaos orb effectively? I read that vendor recipe gives chaos orb if we sell them in sets. But I tried selling different gears together, yet only receiving fragments.

No, I mean a different character.
I am only familiar with necromancer because I played that in Diablo 2.
Maybe you can recommend something like a tank build character, but something that isn't affected by nerfs.

Its easier to just get a simple recommendation and straight check out the build on youtube from veterans such as yourself. The gladiator sounds interesting enough to try.
