You are the perfect example of typical malaysian. Safety came second. That is why toyota can sell non VSC camry, single airbags almera and top selling is myvi.
It is not Proton who practice the uneven safety spec and equipment, it happened to ALL manufacturer who sell their cars in malaysia. We get low spec and low safety cars. This all because there is no NCAP to begin with (not until ASEAN NCAP was established).
money/price is much more important than safety (malaysian thinking)
ANCAP is owned by australia, which is a barisan nasional kroni.
hence, they have less credibility as compared to random k postings. Remember. in this world, if its not expensive and do not have strong brand, it sux. Hence, since Vios, toyota is expensive, it must be safe. because you pay Rm20,000 premium for brand. so it must be safe.
badge can save u from everything or that T badge can help u asrob all the impact
export model sure better and cheaper the local model.. safety is important in oversea market but NOT local market.. so life in Malaysia is cheaper in term of value compare to oversea
do you know that our local car also have tax which is similar with some foreign car? example toyota vios
someone mentioned it earlier in this thread
if they sell exactly same specs as oversea ...the price wont be same as now
thanks to tax (proton didnt earn any sen from the tax)
so they are forced to trim down certain features/safety just to make it within budget range aka cheaper
will u buy a full specs preve if it's hit 90k?
