L720 is already at Nokia retail stores everywhere. How do I know? A saleschick bocor the info to me already in Melaka. She said stock already arrrived but they're waiting for the green-light to sell. But it'll probably be a few weeks. So damn sad that the PKB RM200 discount cannot be used for Lumias This post has been edited by red streak: Apr 27 2013, 11:04 PM

QUOTE(ahnien @ Apr 28 2013, 12:14 AM) skmm can b use on lumias on selected Telco / dealer stores. Mostly telcos. I don't like contracts/installments =P It's why I always pay in cash for everything. Can buy outright from Maxis or not? This post has been edited by red streak: Apr 28 2013, 01:10 AM

QUOTE(ahnien @ Apr 28 2013, 01:56 PM) u mean outright buy with maxis with the price of skmm without signing up for any contracts? telcos sell lines bro, they don't sell phones. The lines n contracts are the main course, the phones are Js side dishes to spice up the menu Umobile's prepaid 48 offers everything Maxis does, at a third of the price and uses Maxis' own network. I don't see why getting locked into a postpaid contract for RM146 for 24 months makes any sense when you're only getting a RM300 discount (or RM500 if you include the PKB). I could just as easily buy outright from Nokia but I wanna take advantage of the RM200 PKB since I already have it and want to save a bit more money. You'd do the same too right? Actually I seem to have gotten the L920 mixed up with the L720 thread, those prices listed are actually for the big brother Lumia -.-
But yeah my point still stands though. I don't like getting jacked by the telcos and our postpaid plans really, really suck. If I were to go for a contract I'd only for the surf more plan since I'm currently using an old Nokia with a grandfathered UOX plan with credit that won't expire until I'm 26 that I can use for sms/calls. I like the freedom to be able to change phones whenever I want instead of having to pay highway robbery rates for 2 years.

QUOTE(Boldnut @ May 3 2013, 10:13 AM) dont know lah, IMO App is kinda overrated. As long u got the basic common one like Chatting/time/clock ok liao. Wanna spend time on app on phone = might as well buy an Ipad. Phone not enough battery life for u to App all day lol Might as well get dumbphone if like that.

QUOTE(magooleeya @ May 7 2013, 08:18 PM) I got at the nokia store for 799, use the skmm rebate. but have to buy hotlink simcard rm5 and topup rm30. so total 834. Still a good deal ✌ Wah ***** Nokia. The shop I went to said the SKMM is only for Asha phones. Do they also accept PKB rebate for L920?

QUOTE(magooleeya @ May 9 2013, 01:49 AM) depend on the store whether they take it or not. hmm, seems like every phone they accept the rebate my plan was to buy 620 bcause cheap, but since she said i can also use rebate for 720, i immediately bought it Yeah. I'm gonna check out another Nokia outlet to see if they offer it for all their phones. I was thinking of getting the umobile U48 prepaid plan. My last resort would be going with either Digi or most likely Maxis since they're the only ones that offer the L920 on PKB rebate scheme. Too bad it's a 2 year contract -.-'

QUOTE(Narako @ May 10 2013, 07:24 PM) The risk is just too huge imo. You should read the terms and conditions and see. Even if you don't return it within 7 days, it's considered "sold as it is" and you get NO WARRANTY. If you return it late you get penalized RM50 per day (from your deposit). If it's damaged or scuffed or has scratches, your deposit is also gone. It's better to just buy it outright instead of taking that dumbass "loan".

I know the Mahkota Parade one in Melaka doesn't accept PKB for Lumia (just Asha). I asked them the other day. Not so sure about the Bandaraya Jusco one but they also have a PKB rebate sign.

Has anyone here used the PKB RM200 rebate to buy their L720 or any type of Lumia at any of the official Nokia retailers? If yes, then which outlet in which State? I'm trying to figure out why some people were able to do it but the Nokia Malaysia's fb is denying that the PKB can be used with Lumias .___.'

QUOTE(JdOtL @ May 27 2013, 11:43 AM) well looks like we'll have to wait for update from MS or nokia.... Now I know why Lumia 925 don't have sdcard slot, there really no point of putting one in if can't be used... Afaik the SD card issue is because the 720 still isn't optimized for SD-card storage. A lot of users have reported lag when trying to do things (like take a picture) even if they're not saving it on the SD but using internal storage, while having an SD card inside. Removing it seems to resolve their problems.

QUOTE(CheezBurgur @ Jun 25 2013, 08:26 PM) Any comments on Nokia Maps? Up to date and reliable? Also, isn't it scratch-proof screen? Why do I see people complaining about scratches o_o There's a coating on it that scratches easily. Gorilla glass is scratch-resistant but it doesn't mean shit when that coating is on top of it. That's why it's recommended that you apply a screen protector.

QUOTE(porkieporkie @ Jul 20 2013, 01:11 AM) ok, thanks! removed it.. compared it with iphone 5, browsing speed, its slowerr! and sometimes, iphone can detect d signal better! so, what apps do u guys have on ur phone for music? Facedesk moment here. L720 is less than the price of the iPong5...you can't compare it at all. This is a budget phone. Some peeps use Pandora or Spotify for music streaming.

The 820 has a suckier camera even though it has more megapixels and it doesn't have Gorilla Glass™.
