I don't use the default cam and these are taken with ProShot, but I think it's safe to say that your camera is borked.

My unit is actually corrupt as well, but it's just the common crash/reboot/hardlock/SD card problem and in rare occasions the display goes all stripey or the camera goes green. Haven't got around to taking it to Nokia Care yet.

As mentioned, I use ProShot since the stock app is severely lacking in options and it looks like they want you to use lenses unlike how it was in WP7.

Using ISO 100 helps with keeping details as much possible since at higher values Nokia's algorithm tend to over-compensate and sharpness/details are lost, even if you can remove the noise in post-process. Obviously this is not always feasible, especially when dealing with low-light and moving objects. If you have one of those Gorilla tripod, it'll help a lot with taking night landscape since max shutter in ProShot is 4 sec. I don't have one, so I often have to settle with higher ISO.

I usually play around with Saturation and Contrast to get the mood I'm looking for. As for macro shots like the grass one, I use manual focus - usually at 5-10%. Nice bokeh.  I tend to under-expose my shots too, especially sunset/rise shots. Like the one above, I set the EV to -2 to keep highlight clipping as low as possible. For normal use, it usually hovers around -0.3 to -1. Hope that helps.

Lastly I'm just an amateur with no technical background unlike some of the gurus here so if you're looking for pro tips, you're probably better off asking them haha.   
Currently I think there's a way to install Pro Cam on 512MB devices but you'll need Amber/GDR2 update for it to work. I have no experience with Pro Cam yet but from what I can see it's probably very similar in function with ProShot so you may want to hold your breath before spending any money on ProShot. ProShot does have some niceties though, like full-res timelapse function, real-time histogram, real-time level and grids but IMO they're just extras.

Yeah I think I bought without actually trying lol but that was long ago. The UI is kinda clunky but the dev is very active, always updating his app with new features and fixes. If you're not fussy with RM6+ then I say just go ahead and buy it. Be warned though if you're planning to install Pro Cam then a lot of ProShot functions are redundant.

If you wanna play around with manual focus, Camera360 has it too but I'm not sure if it takes full res pictures. I don't use it since it's got a lot of baggage like filters and library that I don't need.

To install Nokia Pro Cam on Lumia 720
You will need
1)Wifi
2)Your phone.
3)patience

First go to settings--->wifi
then tap on your wifi network and turn proxy on
Type in 117.135.139.179 and 8888 for port.
save it
Now go to windows store and tap on nokia collection you should see nokia pro cam now. Install it.
Lastly turn off proxy and change your region back to malaysia den back to United States to clear store cache.
That's about it.
Also remember to be patience as it will need Amber Update to work.

Just install it first incase this trick doesn't work on GDR2/Amber?

Hi TQ for your reply. Reason I asking here is because the only time I can get to test the phone is when I go to any nokia store's. None of my family members owns a windows phone. 360' degrees all samsung/iphones only lol so no chance to test drive wins phone also.

Random restart with soft reset occurs alot for me too lately, after installing 6tag. When i was using instance no such problem. But my friends 720 has the opposite problem, had so many random restart with instance and now use 6tag no problem at all. App optimisation prob 

And any new owners leave a message i shall update it

So far I accidentally dropped my phone for a few times. Then the mic stop working when I speak using earpiece.
sent it to Nokia care and the repair was free!

Hi, I got a few questions and appreciate answers.

1. Nokia Here. Can we upgrade it to Here+ and how much would it cost?
2. Whatapps. Any issue with this? Slow performance etc?
3. Any 3rd party internet browsers like Opera available?
4. Can you hook the phone to computer using wire/bluetooth and transfer files without the need for Zune etc? Just like what you can do with N8?

Haha. I think I still not satisfied cause I never get to molest it kao kao at phone shop. How's the everyday use apps? Like FB and Whatsapp? I see on the windowsphone store all giving low feedback and ratings. Forget the youtube app, that's a real blooper incident lol.
