its possible to underclock or reduce multiplier for laptop CPU i5 2.3Ghz 2410m becos my laptop is underclock right now.... its should be 2.3ghz but when i use cpuz.. its show 800mhz and multiplier x8 only.. even 100% load.. before this my laptop is overheating.. so i sent to shop at lowyat plaza..

if u use win 7, try to

go control panel > power option

n then select high performance

if still dont change,

go control panel > power option > 'change plan setting' > restore default for this plan

hope that helps u...if not, then i think theres other underlying problem that keeps ur proc underclocked
