any idea if it will happen to glossy surface as well?

I usually take photos of my figures~ This shot below (first photo is from cam directly, 2nd photo is after some photoshop for better composition/colors and brighten up a bit since i used low ISO), at a sports complex in my campus using the stock camera, not proshot. I suppress the noise by using only ISO 100. No flash, no zooming. Exposure & Color balance auto. And, i didnt use tripod, used my hands only, tap on screen to focus. The figure's full height is around 21cm.

One thing i noticed that, if i wanted to focus on the face, i musnt tap on the face, i had to tap on the forehead (bit higher) or tap the chin/neck area ( a bit lower) for maximum sharpness on the face. In short, dont focus on the face directly, go up or down a bit (the focal length changes by millimeters since the figure's face is not a flat surface).

Must have been something to do with the focal length adjustment by the camera (the camera's software algorithm seems to have the tendency of avoiding over-sharpening images which is odd, by not fully focusing on the spot you prefer, by readjusting the focal length difference by a few mm). I suspect it is trying to suppress or minimize noise. This concept worked on my other trials shooting photos of other objects, it's kinda stupid to me really.

Lumias are widely used in Europe and Russia, that's what my friend studying there said. The L920, not so much yet. 5 out of 10 budget and midrange phones are Lumia there - because of carriers. Most people who sig up a plan to get a free phone there, usually Lumias are being offered. In Malaysia i still have people asking me "Huh? Lumia runs Windows ah?"    Imagine how much i can make them go "WTF?" by telling them it runs Windows 8 (without the word 'phone'  ). These ppl with no knowledge thinks it is as powerful as the desktop version, only lesser apps.

5 out of 10 budget phone...    I found it hard to believe. So far budget lumia phones are 610 & 620 only? 710 also maybe...
I don't think Lumia is that famous anyway.
You are looking for jailbreak on WP8 and install pirated apps, which are not possible at the moment. And discussing pirating is prohibited in the forum too.
