Just migrated to Lumia 920 from Android yesterday. Having been with Android for the past 3 years, I took a huge leap of faith to switch over - especially because I rely heavily on many Google services.

While there are many shortcomings on WP8 that I noticed almost as soon as switched over, I can still live with them for now. But there are couple of things that really irked me.

Firstly the unit I'm having is rather odd. It turned off by itself when there is still about 10% of battery left. When I plug it to the charger it shows me the battery charging icon (red, 1 bar). It won't turn on no matter how long I left it to charge (well, I waited more than an hour, which is already unusually long). I found out that I need to do a 'soft reset' (vol down + power) to force it out of sleep. Is this normal for WP8 / Lumia 920?

Secondly, one of the major reasons why I purchased the phone is for the bundled Nokia Drive. When I tried to download it, I received an error code 805a0194. Apparently many other recent buyers are facing similar problem. Any of you here have the same issue? How can I install the app manually, ie where can I download the installation file?

On a side note, does anyone know any good RSS reader app with Live Tile support? I loved Pulse on Android a lot but unfortunately there isn't a WP8 version of that app.

Edit: Sorry, one more thing. I set my Store region to US. Is that what you guys do too or you use Malaysia? Thanks!

About your Nokia Drive(Here Drive) issue, it is currently a global issue, may take some time to fix, so try it later.

Thanks, Skyline. I managed to download HERE Drive from Nokia site instead. Do you have any idea about the soft reset if battery went flat? Is this normal?

Welcome! While I have not yet let my phone run down till 10% (15% was lowest I think), as mentioned by other forumer there are ppl who suffer from this issue. Just curious, what is your firmware version on your phone?

Nokia Drive+ Beta seems to be back in store. It shows up now on my phone with last updated date of 27/3/2013.

A good RSS Reader? You can try Weave or Fuse, but I prefer Weave. Yes you can add your own custom URL in Weave though it's quite hidden. Fuse has a lot of nice offline capabilities & even has a UI that mimics Pulse .

Yes it's OK to set store to US region. That way you get access to more apps. But I personally switch back to Malaysia store if an app I want is available in Malaysia store (not a lot available) since it's actually slightly cheaper to buy from Malaysia store. Have fun!

Thanks, Zachary!

I managed to download HERE Drive+ Beta using QR code link. Haven't tested it yet though but as compared to Google Maps I feel the Nokia map is a bit lacking in terms of POIs.

I'll check out Weave smile.gif Waiting for the latest update via OTA (mine a Singapore set) but tempted to flash it myself!

EDIT:

Oh, one more thing. Why is my 'Find My Phone' always appear as 'off' although I have turned it on? No luck finding my phone either from windowsphone.com. Any of you guys managed to get this to work?

The better question is: is there anyone who actually receives the update? And if so which telco?

Exactly. I'm on Digi and having a Singaporean unit. No update for me. Curious who actually got the OTA update.

Urmph... has anyone actually got their latest update OTA yet?

My situation is a bit...complicated. I have a Singapore unit and I'm in HK now roaming on Digi. Does anyone know how would this work out for me?
