Besides the rebrand, it looks like they have tweaked the app a lot.
It's very smooth and it has significant improvements.
You'll feel the difference when you use it, if you use it a lot like me.

City Lens have the map for quite sometime now, when you put the phone down you'll see the map.
It's smoother and has a better experience after the update.
I don't notice much difference in Nokia Map but Lens and Drive are a bit different and smoother.

turn off celular and wifi, go airplane mode. your gps should work better.

and maybe make sure your 920 region is set to malaysia.

Any other function for search button besides the windows logo other than popping up bing search?

the search button seems useless to me. Dont know how others think.

I have been using Lumia 920 for 4 days now. When I first enquired about this phone at my favourite phone shop, the owner tried his best to discourage me from getting it and was pushing the Z10, Experia Z and Note 2 to me instead. But I have done my research via the thread here and was adamant in securing my Yellow 920 one way or the other. I have been an iphone user for the last 4 years. My last one was 4s. I didn't bother to upgrade to 5.

I was so excited on finally laying my hands on the phone (after waiting for it in the shop for almost 3 hours as I wanted a yellow one). Honestly, I have not been this excited over a new phone for as long as I can remember. I simply loved it. The live tiles are amazing. The screen, responsiveness and the simplicity (despite being a totally new OS to me) were outstanding. Only wish that there are more accessories for this.

Typical shop assistants, i feel like slapping them sometimes...  They treat us consumers like idiots when some of us really do our research and if i prefer this model, that is my problem. Or is Samsung paying u if u sell their phones more? Im actually surprised they recommend Blackberry Z10 over Lumia 920. If im not a businessman i see no reasons to get BB Z10 which is inferior to L920 in hardware (sorry, if anyone here is a BB fan).  Not to mention BB OS lacks even more apps than windows phone.

Confirm that whatsapp chat history will be wiped clean after re-flash (I did my reflash last night and I backed up everything!) but since Whatsapp only backs up to phone memory (in the case of Lumia 920 anyway), when the phone is re-flashed, everything is wiped clean and the backup is gone.

Luckily my finance program was backed up to Skydrive, other I would be one pissed motherfkr today.

Windows Phone 8 backup/restore system is bloody LAME!, I am still downloading all my apps (Gigabytes of them what with Asphalt and Need for Speed or whatever) and all the system updates (Like the Extra+Info, Network+ etc) have to be updated manually (and they cannot be found in the App Store unless you have the direct link or the CR code which is another FAIL)

I updated because I wanted the Storage Check thing and guess what, it's not there!!! WTF? I suspect it's because I need to update all the system settings first (like the Extra+Info etc etc.) Good god this is bloody painful.

I have done backups and restore of iPhones, iPads etc and everything was done in like 30-45 minutes because iOS devices can be backed up (and I mean every single thing) to the computer.

Microsoft needs to do the same damn thing

Just updated my 920 to Portico (1249.1007) via OTA. I found out that my GPS isnt working anymore. Every program that need "location service" doesnt work too. It used to be fine since i purchased the phone.

seems like cannot. But you can tap and hold on Nokia map then choose drive symbol and start navigation. Then choose Nokia Drive

How if i accidentally keep tap tap tap it in my pocket everytime? Battery drainage

better build than rock naked shell case, except it is abit thinner..
i bought it just to use it as a stand.. lol..
got many color, dint buy black cos sometimes it is hard to find dark color when i put my phone somewhere (in bag for example)

just take it out when put at gps holder
