QUOTE(ivan92 @ Mar 27 2013, 01:15 AM) Been using E all the time sine upgraded to v1308. Working fine. But I've tried to turn on 3G whole day, had 2 times auto restart, and 1 time hang at Window Phone Logo blue background. Software reset fixes this. ANyone had problem on 3G all the time? Auto restart ? Never expect these kind of thing to happen to a high end Nokia phone. |

QUOTE(GuestX8 @ Mar 27 2013, 09:33 AM) unless you have problem with weak 3G signal around your place or the Telco is doing some upgrading then you most likely have the problem. Also try to get the latest network+ (from nokia collection) update. my 3G signal here is quite stable. Email are sync pretty quickly. I'm using the latest network+, just updated last week.BTW, if you are on 3G, try to sync your email. Does it take a long time to sync or at times timeout? Auto restart happens during idle, as I'm on wireless charging stand, saw it auto restarted out of nothing. |

QUOTE(fantasy1989 @ Mar 27 2013, 09:49 AM) Nothing is weird, as you are on 2G all the time, no issue. Only on 3G this funny things happens. QUOTE(GuestX8 @ Mar 27 2013, 09:49 AM) If you are willing to try. key in ##3282 in the phone dail pad and press call. Then select the "three dots" (bottom right corner) then setting, on the network type select 3G then back out. On the safe side shutdown and restart the phone. See if it is stable. Trying this now. Thanks for the suggestion. Will try this for the day, see if it is stable. Now the Highest Connection Speed shows 2G, but I'm on H network. QUOTE(KayK @ Mar 28 2013, 04:22 PM) this is just my opinion...it may vary with others and also your opinion... The heat problem was too much to be acceptable. It was so hot even to feel it with the phone inside my jeans pocket.if you could wait for the next revision, i will even advice you to wait for the next successor to 920... as much as i like my 920 and enjoy using it, it is not without some obvious flaws... 1. mainly the heat (i'm ok with heat but not heat with the possibility of toasting the radio chip)...so far my 920 is heating up but not that hot until causes any problems yet...touchwood touchwood... 2. some windows phone 8 bugs, like random reboot, and time / date being reset after a soft reset...given this is still a new OS, this is expected...i'm ok with the bugs so far, nothing major until it breaks my usage of the phone... 3. apps are coming, but somehow i feel like developers are still skeptical about WP8 platform... 4. if you are a heavy google services user, i advice against you getting WP8 devices... other than that, 920 is a good phone to use, and i dont regret being an early adopter of WP8... Random restart was not acceptable as well, what on earth is Nokia doing, this is a high end phone? New OS? Don't think so, they have more than enough time for RnD and comes out with this product? I've been using 800 for a year before this upgrade to 920, it was a huge disappointment, seriously thinking of letting it go and goes back to my Lumia 800. * And my GPS location service is near dead after the latest update. Crap piece of device. This post has been edited by lipfung: Mar 28 2013, 09:34 PM |

Try turn on 3G and Drive+, feel the heat. I'm just imaging that, haven't tried, guess I can just fry an egg on it. |

What good does it bring, with Lumia 920 then cannot turn data connection on?
Can't play games, coz it heats up so bad, although I never install a single game in my 920. This post has been edited by lipfung: Mar 28 2013, 09:58 PM |

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Mar 28 2013, 10:38 PM) im kindda agree with lipfung, the heating on L920 is total unacceptable. if compare with other windows phone that running 7.5 or 7.8 not even can feel the heat that rise faster than 920. You toasted the radio in your 920? So you got a replacement unit after that? with my previous smartphone i can 24/7 on my Data connection and during day time i can even on all my data/bluetooth/wifi. now, i have to practice switching OFF my phone if the temperature rise above the abnormal level for 5min , and switch off data & goes to flight mode before i go to bed. look like L920 ain't smartphone , because have to be extra careful not to toast the radio like i did earlier. I had a QI flatbed charger, the temperature seems to be high while charging. Where the ori nokia standing wireless charger seems alright. Bit of advise, purchase only the ori Nokia wireless charger. |

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Mar 29 2013, 12:47 PM) in and out my L920 have visit NC twice, only the third time when i voice out to their top level then they wiling to replacement mainboard and waited for 1month The original Nokia standing wireless charger was alright, no heat issue while charging.yeah, the heat kindda scared me away for getting the wireless charger. try to imaging after charged CPU/Radio heat + center of the body heat up during charging... after done charging its like holding a toasted bread About the Nokia flatbed wireless charger, had no experience on it. Only the QI standard charger, had heat issue, maybe it was some imitation or whatsoever, as I bought from China. |
